Reserved a table for 6 to celebrate a milestone birthday. (Two of us arrived a few minutes before our reservation time and were seated, but the rest of the party were running late. The restaurant was very accommodating given how busy they were.) The FOH manager(?) was very friendly, the hostess was friendly and professional, and our server, Ellis, was fantastic!
We ordered a variety of cocktails, shareables, entrees, and desserts. All but one of the plates were amazing and exceptionally well-executed. (The shishito peppers were the only “miss.” They weren’t very flavorful and could have used more salt. The crème dip was meh.)
Cocktails: the Sanity & Wit drink was the most popular in our group. They have a full bar and a good wine list.
Food: The table’s hands down favorite was the polenta cake. The mushrooms were soooo good! My second favorite was the shortbreads - lightly fried, creamy but firm and seasoned perfectly. The quail was reallllly good. I could have eaten a pile of the onions that were served with it. The tenderloin was cooked to each person’s preference and the gratiné was savory. The beet salad was good, but we felt like they were cut too small; they lost some of their texture. The mac & cheese was flavorful and had a nice creaminess and firmness.
Dessert: The brûlée was good, but the double chocolate bread pudding is the way to go! It had a strong chocolate flavor without being overly rich. (It is not an overly sweet kind of chocolate.)
Definitely going back asap!

Read moreLast weekend, I was trying to see if Bar Loretta was open yet and even tried to reserve through Google Maps unsuccessfully. This week, I heard that they officially opened so I quickly booked through Open Table yesterday for tonight’s dinner.
There are multiple outdoor seating areas, which were great! We had drinks to start - I had The Old Soft Shoe which had a mix of pineapple and coconut and my friend had the Junebug vs. Hurricane which was similar to a strawberry 75. Both drinks were strong and turned out fantastic. My friend decided to try the Butter Roasted Scallops with corn souffle, roasted red pepper soffritto for her meal while I had the Herb Crusted Lamb Chops with chardonnay raisin risotto and sour cherry demi. Both our dinners were phenomenal and the sour cherry demi sauce made my lamb chops taste amazing. I didn’t finish my meal to make room for dessert. Grandma Edna’s Peach Crisp drew us to try it because of the cherry ice cream. Sadly, they didn’t have the cherry ice cream and had the typical vanilla ice cream. The peach crisp was pretty good but hopefully next time they’ll have the cherry ice cream.
Superb dinner for their first-week opening! Devon did a great job serving us tonight! Highly recommend this place and look forward to...
Read moreI had initially given 5 stars, as my first experience was amazing. But then I went again and it was extremely disappointing. Despite making a 5pm reservation more than a week in advance, when we arrived (early) we were told we would either have to sit at a communal table between two other couples, or at the bar ... we chose the bar. The bartender was arrogant, but the drinks were decent. Then I was brought the wrong meal. By the time the correct meal arrived, my husband had already finished his. Oh, and at the time we were finished eating, nearly half the tables in the restaurant were still empty - so we could have been given a proper table. They took off the cost of one drink - not nearly enough in my opinion. I will say, though, that my husband's meal was quite delicious - the brick chicken.
Both the food and drinks were phenomenal. Especially the Brussels sprouts, polenta, lobster risotto, pumpkin nut French toast brulee, and, for a drink, the Joyful Sound. All were absolutely flawless. We were also lucky enough to have John Paul as our server - he was...
