San Antonio Art League + Museum — Attraction in San Antonio

I didn't know this place existed. I found it randomly when I was on Google maps browsing. I stopped in and was the first guest of the day. I was greeted by Stephanie. She was so sweet and her and I had a wonderful conversation. She gave me some pointers on where to find good watercolors and watercolor paper. The art was nice. This is something that is free and takes about twenty to thirty minutes to walk through, if you stop and examine every piece. Stephanie let me know that eventually when they start having events again, that I should bring my nieces and nephews to the studio they have. They have art activities for the kids. This is a go to place in San Antonio if you like art and artists. It's big on painting but they also have some sculpture and even a gift shop where you can buy from the member artists it's free to go in but make a donation and then when you're finished go drive around the King William district for some architectural sites that make up one of the major places to see in San Antonio for historic...

Although I love the SAAL in King William, I was disheartened to see my favorite artist's work crammed into an office space cluttered with business things and gift shop items. Some of her work was spaced through out but certainly not showcased as any art should be. In addition, the staff and volunteers stood around talking in that office space.
