The minute we walked in, we weren't greeted, we were asked "Dine in or To Go?" We responded "To Go" and they pointed to a table top computer explaining "You'll have to order yourself." Probably sensing we thought she was kidding (asking us to touch her computer during a pandemic when most offer touch-free everything), she confidentally offered "I clean it after every single use!" Confused by her rude attitude, we started using the computer. We quickly felt like it was going to take longer than we expected when we saw all of the squares (so many options) per screen. If we were familiar with it, piece of cake. First time using it, not so much. When we got to ordering a brisket taco, there wasn't a "next" option like our other orders. We were clearly confused as we discussed it together. The people behind the counter weren't helpful. Not a hint or anything. When I mentioned the struggle, the same girl abruptly moved her body in our space to touch the screen for us. She pushed some buttons then said "You'll have to do it over." I wanted to walk out at that point. Instead, I redid it and she pushed buttons anyway. As we read the condiment options aloud to reach other, I requested additional sauce. I read "How many napkins?" As we responded, she rudely said "Those are in the dining room so don't order those" - except I already had. When we finished, we went to sit at a table to wait for our food. We watched at least 4 people use the computer after us. Not once did that girl clean it between customers. Finally, we asked about our order since people who ordered after us had already left. Our order indicated that it was a to go order but it had sat on the counter and was not pushed forward. For a $48+ order, it was ridiculous and unacceptable. Her attitude was unhelpful and the worst I've ever seen at a Bill Miller's. This was an awful experience! To make things worse, our order was wrong and they didn't include the extra sauce. I'm pretty certain we won't return. The single star I rated this place was only because there wasn't anything less. Get it...
Read moreMy family and I went for dinner and ordered at the front counter with Kayla. We ordered a #1 ,#4 with extra crispy fries and gravy and a stuffed baked potato. But then we canceled the #1 and changed it to a #7. We got a drinks. Shortly after they called our name and when I went up to the counter I could see our order was wrong. They gave us two #7s and a baked potato. I told Kayla I think I’m missing the strips with extra crispy fries and she yes they will be right out. I also said this is wrong it’s was only one #7. She said no you ordered two. I heard you. Im sorry but for me is strike one. I’ve also worked at bill millers in past and if I did that I would get in trouble for answering back to the customer like that. I come back to the table with the rest of the food and then she comes to the table and says yes I checked your order you ordered two #7s and a baked potato. So it’s right with an attitude. Right in front of my family. That’s strike two so I got up with the extra #7 and started walking to the counter she said I can show you the order. I said no it’s okay the arguing not necessary can you just get me a manager please. She proceeds to go to the back and starts talking to a manager. I can hear her say she asking for a #4 but ordered a #7. The manager said okay so do we owe her a #4 she said no because she never asked for a #4. That strike three. Kayla was more concerned about trying to be right then just solving the situation, by apologizing and saying let me get that #4for you, or even saying, OK, let me get a manager. The manager Miss Cook was nice enough to just replace the #7. Overall, the food was delicious really nice and fresh the atmosphere. It was really nice and clean. this is the only bill millers close to us and this was the first time I’ve ever had something to say about my experience. I not trying to be rude. I’m not entirely sure if Kayla was just haven’t a bad day but she was being rude. I would have just spoke to the manager then and there but she was busy helping...
Read moreThis was our first Bill Miller BBQ experience, so we didn't know what to expect. It was a good amount of food for the price, but no one in our group of four enjoyed their meal enough to finish it. Amongst the four of us, we had the turkey, brisket, chicken, and pork meats as platters, potato, and taco. For the sides, we had the macaroni and cheese, potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, pinto beans, and french fries. We also tried the dinner roll and brown bread from the condiment bar.
Our initial thoughts were that the meats seemed inconsistent (i.e., some extremely lean bites and other extremely fatty bites as well as a soft texture to the turkey) and that the side dishes were enjoyed by some and not by others due to taste and texture nuances (e.g., overcooked noodles, vinegary green beans, overly-breaded chicken tenders, and bland pinto beans and brown bread). The only thing on which we all agreed was the potatoes... delicious!
Finally, it may be the first time I went to a barbecue joint that didn't have a barbecue sauce available as a condiment. When my wife's potato (and chicken) showed up without any sauce at all, and there was nothing on the tables or at the condiment bar, I was truly surprised. I don't know what the sauce was on the other meats, but it was not a sauce for which we cared to have more, so we stuck with ketchup in the end.
In all, the restaurant was clean, the people were friendly, and the...
