As someone who has had bad dental experiences in the past that caused me to avoid the dentist.. I couldnāt say better things about this place. I came in over a year ago for an emergency on a SUNDAY. Dr. Fuentes was working that day and she was so kind and non judgmental and really just wanted to help me get out of pain. A year and some change passes and because of how kind and understanding she was, I decided to make an appointment for a cleaning. Mind you, itās been 15ish years since Iāve had a dental cleaning, so my teeth really needed a deep clean. When I went in for the consultation, everyone was super kind and understanding of my anxiety and embarrassment. They helped me feel comfortable and explained what they were doing. I was able to see Dr. Fuentes again and she remembered me and my terrible anxiety from last time! Brett was the hygienist that helped me that day and he was also so kind and again, non judgmental. Fast forward to today. The deep cleaning (you know, the kind they have to numb your mouth and is a bit scary going in for). I got there and everyone again, was so kind. I had asked for nitrous to help me relax and let me tell you, that mask smells like vanilla cupcakes, it worked. Dr. Fuentes even brought me a little fidget to mess around with during the procedure and kept telling me how proud of me she was for coming in and getting this done. After my mouth was nice and numb, Brett came in to do the work. He explained the process and what I would experience and let me put my headphones in. He kept asking if I was okay and letās just say mixed with the nitros, the vanilla cupcake scent, and my music - I was at a Taylor Swift concert enjoying a mimosa and eating a cupcake. I opted to do both sides at the same time, for fear I might not return.. so glad I did. Only downside to this entire this is just my entire mouth was numb, Iām pretty sure I drooled my way through the aisles at HEB picking up some groceries and thought I was smiling at people. I later realized due to the numbness, my smile wasnāt smiling! Anyway. This long winded story, with behind the scenes and bonus features, is just going to show that this is a wonderful dentist office to go to - If you have great teeth or not so great teeth.
10/10, highly recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe staff is very friendly and the clinic is very affordable with their services. They offer a good payment program as well but I give it a 3 stars because they are a bit unorganized. I've been there three times and everytime it seems like they don't communicate with one another and they always want to bring you back on another appointment, not completing what they tell you in the first place. First visit they had me from one room to another and one associate didn't know why. Then they brought me back and after working partially on me they say they need to bring me back to work in the other part of my mouth. That was upsetting, everything was suppose to be completed on that visit and I had even payed for Nitrous gas. They completed the work after I was upset. The second time I went to follow up as I had some discomfort and the filling needed to be filed down. They noticed in the second set of pictures that one of my teeths filling was off and it needed to be done but we agreed at the doctors request that it be done at the next follow up visit with my cleaning. Third appointment came and when I went nobody knew anything about the filling and the work that the doctor was suppose to do on me. Nothing had been documented and that was a very bad and uneasy feeling to have when your dentist doesn't know what is going on and everyone is confused. The doctor ended up not fixing my tooth because she was running behind and said she would work on me but I had to wait for hours. In other words I was pressured into rescheduling. So let's see if it actually gets done the 4 the time around. Oh and the billing lady said that extra procedure was going to be run through my insurance for coverage when the doctor and the assistant had already said in the second appointment that there was not going to be a charge since that was on them...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have had a molar ache for 3 days. 7 to 7 did the possible to see me quickly. I called on Friday and was seen on Sunday (today) I had a bad experience before with root canals so I was extremely nervous. As soon as I got the local anesthesia I stared to panic; I couldnāt breathe and started crying without able to say a word. Lorraine, who was setting up and assisting the doctor quickly grabbed me and comforted me until I felt better. I know I sound lameā¦Why would a visit to the dentist could be scary? In 2019 I had my first root canal on a bigger molar. It took 3 hours to get it āfinished.ā The anesthesia kept wearing off. The doctor didnāt want to keep injecting more so she kept telling me, 2 more minutes, 2 more minutes. Now I am terrified of Root canals. Honestly, if it wasnāt for Ms. Lorraine, i would have probably left before we even started. I would like to thank Ms. Lorraine for her compassion. She deserves a big bonus and should to be recognized for her amazing work Ethics and bedside manners. She went above and beyond! I will forever be grateful. The Doctor was very nice and patient with me. This time the procedure lasted about 1.5 hours and was virtually pain free. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because I was sent home with no pain medication for after the procedure. I understand there are a lot of oxy fiends and he is just trying to keep it from increasing the numbers but Tylenol and Ibuprofen has not been enough to take the pain away. The outside of my cheek is swollen, itchy and the whole left side of my head hurts. My procedure was at 10:30 and we finished at 12:00. It is now 21:00 and I am still in a lot of pain. Tylenol and ibuprofen is just not working so I am laying down on my bed, cheek on ice. i had to let my supervisor know I will not be coming to work tomorrow so I will be losing one...
