place has gone downhill rapidly, this will be the last visit and will not he returning again.
Prices has gone up dramatically, charges for tab water. But Food portion size and quality has gone down. Nickle and dime you for sauces and dips, charge for wing to be sauced, charge for ranch... Minimum spend is $25 just for drink and meal and its not worth that price.
AC is off, hot and humid here at least 85 to 90 degrees inside.
All of the food items I wanted were out of stock. Meatloaf, Oxtail, Okra, Guava Lemonade. How are you out of everything? Place is never busy when I visit but always out of the same stuff. So either they don't know how to do a truck order or other items are bait and switch to make you come in and order chicken because nothing else is available.
Food takes 30-45 minutes to be served and there is only two tables including ours.
I can tell owner or manager does not know how to manage a business at all. Workers chatting instead of trying to make food faster. Raising prices instead of trying market and sell more. No one is going to want to pay to eat here at this prices and service. $18 to $22 a plate is just crazy. That's nice restaurant prices, not here.
Ordered BBQ Chicken dinner which gets 2 decent pieces of Chickn. And smothered chickn that gets not even a one piece of same chickn thats cut in 4 and scoop of rice. But two plates are same price at $18? How does that even make sense? Replaced 10 cents worth of rice for more than half the protein.
Not getting the quality, quantity or atmosphere for the price. Only thing the owner is doing is taking advantage of vegans. Pretty sad.
While we are dining, a junkie employee came in looking homeless, definitely high on drugs. And complaining about owner not paying his paycheck and other staff agreeing they didnt get paid either.
So definitely getting where owner's priorities lay and its not his business.
Only good thing was a guy supplying cookies to the restaurant was very polite and friendly. Seemed to care more about the restaurant than...
Read moreMy mom noticed this restaurant leaving church one Sunday. She went in, grabbed a menu and called me to tell me about it. We didn’t order that day but she assured me we’d try it one day. I get a call today, waking me up from a nap and BOY am I glad I heard my phone ring. My mom on the other end, telling me she was treating me to Binge Kitchen. I spoke with the sweetest soul on the other end (as I’m unsure how to spell her name, I’ll refrain from trying 😊) she suggested either the smothered chicken or the bbq chicken dinner in addition to naming a NUMBER of sides to choose from! I chose the bbq chicken dinner, with Mac n cheese, cabbage and sweet potatoes. My mother chose the orange chicken platter that was accompanied with spring rolls, broccoli and rice. She raced back to my place so we could enjoy it while the food was still fresh. O. M.GOSH!!!!!! Hands DOWN, THEEEE absolute BEST vegan I’ve ever tried!!! I’d eat this food cold! LOL! The Orange chicken platter wins past any authentic Chinese food on any given day!! I mean the bbq chicken had a sauce that was perfectly paired for this chicken. It was definitely food for the soul!! I could go on and on and on as it’s completely worth it to do so, however give it a try. The food speaks for...
Read moreVisited this place for the first time and the atmosphere and service were great. The food options were okay. I liked the fact that the entrees included 3 side options (which is rare for the price) however the food itself was lackluster. There are a lot of fried options, and I highly recommend that they add other options such as grilled, blackened or baked. I got the smothered chick'n and gravy and selected mashed potatoes with gravy, candied yams, and greens as my sides. The menu does not state that rice comes with this meal, and that's important because I wouldn't have selected the mashed potatoes as a side option since the chick'n came with rice (although I believe the mashed potatoes were not potatoes but maybe burro bananas). The chick'n and gravy itself were bland. We had fried mushrooms as a starter which were super flavorful almost too salty but still good, and I was surprised that the chick'n batter lacked flavor. My husband got the shrimp which is the only grilled option and they too were bland. My son got the buffalo chick'n tenders and he LOVED them. The sides were all delicious, was just disappointed with the protein entrees. Will give them another try but I won't be getting the smothered chick'n or...
