No Better Dive Bar To Be Found in San Antonio! Found this place completely by accident, but SO glad we did. The Crazy Ape is just the right mix of Dive Bar, neighborhood watering hole, and mad house. It's loud, messy, eclectic, and damn fun. Plenty of locals that are really friendly. Our bartender (Thomas) is reason enough to return every time we're in SA. He's just the nicest guy you'd ever want to meet, and he makes a damn great drink! We traded music on the jukebox with him and drank until closing...very rare for us to stay till close...but like I said it's a great little place. Next time you're in San Antonio, (or if you live there and don't know about this place), give the Crazy Ape a try. You'll be made to feel at home....what more could you...
