Who doesn't enjoy a great Whataburger. Their customer service is great and sometimes staffing issues seem to be more stressful than anyone would like. The consistency of their food is almost perfect. Onion rings can be a huge miss or absolutely perfect. Other issues with beverages are always remedied on the spot. I would say check your food but they get that well, fries too. Ugh, onion rings.... All that being said I usually do get onion rings. So, can't be that bad. The upside to consistency in standards and quality of the food across their stores is that you can easily go to another location and get great food you know you want. The bad thing is, I literally have a location across the street from my apartment complex and I avoid it. The food is equal, the staff is equal and covid standards are equal. My location had long wait times , had longer wait times during covid and they have only become longer. Thirty to fourth minutes is too long and often longer. I've stopped at a few other locations and while long lines are consistent at those other locations as well, the location at 10011 San Pedro is my new favorite location. Thank you.. Busy but so much more efficient. Breakfast in less than 7 minutes and lunch and dinner items in hand in less than 15 minutes. Most advantageous for our hometown favorite is being open 24 hours (even if I do have to wait over 45 minutes). New burger stands, including from Austin, deliver a delicious and all-natural burger, chicken burgers, yummy fries, simple fresh from scratch desserts and shakes at a great price. Built for service with two lanes, dine in and a walk up window where dine in isn't available. While waiting, music playing, I progress thru an eclectic set of colors and design that is well lit, welcoming and weird but always more fun than being herded in the dark, behind a kitchen or receiving door, dumpster and exhaust fumes of a parking lot to then be charged and placed in other holding lines. Hopefully the process can be salvaged and your real competition because arches, pigtails and much less foam ball heads never were, doesn't decide...
Read moreOKay, let me start by saying I have never had a bad experience at this location until today. I also have a high tolerance for incompetence as people need time to learn their jobs. Today, CARLTON the cashier, took our order with an attitude. I figure everybody has a bad day...no problem. Then we get our order and it's the wrong order...no problem...mix ups happen. The manager..sorry I didn't get your name...was great and took my receipt and started our order again. Now it's starting to suck because it's cutting into my lunch time. Our order comes out and it's wrong again but only missing an order of onion rings and a side of jalepenos. We let them know were missing these items and a girl behind the counter says, "what size?" (they only have one size) I look at my brother and say, "Does it matter? Just give us the largest you have and let us be on our way..." CARLTON finds the need to but in and say, "Well, some people want to get what they order..." I say, "Yes, that's what WE want." I really don't like his disrepectul attitude. Our order has already been given to us TWICE...WRONG and "some people want to get what they order" is his brilliant customer service plan? Please inform CARLTON that even if the customer isn't always right that maybe he should keep his mouth shut. There is a motherload of restaurants and burger joints around this neighborhood (Harmony Hills) and I am more than happy to give my money to somebody more customer service oriented. There's a saying about don't bring your problems from home to work and dont take your problems from work home. Be polite, take the order and move on. I get my food, and you get your check. We all win. I should add..this took place...
Read moreI left my ACC on and fell asleep when I woke my battery was dead and I was trapped I rarely impose on people I cannot add burden to another it affects everything around them by interrupting their flow my emergency isn't theirs but now I was not able to start my deliveries. I walked inside the store and saw two Whataburger team members having a convoy. I pick up and deliver from there all the time and stage there for deliveries I just asked the front manager she pointed at Kieth and his coworker being trapped created a driver that quashes false humility quickly I asked do you have jumper cables Kieth had this (at first) non trusting be ready for it stance and expression and rightfully so since all the homeless squat inside along with all those gear including their bikes strip all the paper products from the place soil everything so I'm sure they thought ok what's he up to. Then Kieth mentally kicked himself by admitting he had cables I was relieved I think he might be a night mgr or crew lead as his shirt is dark navy blue he said where's your car to be ease him and realize he e was doing a good thing I said I gopuff a my d skip cart I'm in here everyday plus I stage here it's safe. He said yeah I've seen you before. So he jumped my car. Just when your faith in humanity starts to wane a simple act of kindness neutralizes paranoia, fear, mistrust, and your heart grows 10 times too big...
