I finally started eating here again trying to support the local businesses in my neighborhood. I've always felt that for the money this place usually disappoints. But I tried to look past that and consider the time that it saves me from driving to another place they probably have similar food that might be just a little better.

First of all I'd like to start off on a positive note, I do enjoy the large size mason jars that are used for the ice tea and other beverages that are so dear by the glass. The water and tea come with free refills. And now most soft drinks are sold by the can.

When you drink order arrives, it usually comes with a complimentary chips and salsa. The chips are crispy, a bit dense, and a little on the more golden side. Although the salsa is a bit watery, it is somewhat tasty.

Now there may be two or more reasons why you might come here but the primary ones will be either for breakfast tacos on the go or perhaps a sit down lunch meal. Like most of the other Mexican restaurants around town, they do have a three taco special in the morning although this place only has a very limited selection including bean and egg, ham and egg, and potato and egg. 3x$3.75 or $4. I've gotten the ham and egg before and find them a bit juicy as the ham is the typical luncheon meat cooked ham you find mostly all around town. The bean and egg are not cooked together rather added along side which I dislike and the others are fine. Most of the other tacos run from $1.50-$1.99 and the breakfast plates start off at $5.50. I find the egg and chicharrón plate to be the best value and the barbacoa taco at $2.50 to be a winner.

The menudo is fair. The caldo de res was a disappointment when I got it. I thought that for sure, since it was the weekend, that a fresh batch would be available. Although I come to find out that I was giving what tasted like an old slightly fermented/sour broth with recently boiled potatoes added to it that totally lacked any kind of flavor from the meat or the broth. The meat was also a decent cut of shank, although the texture felt like it was also cooked separately due to the lack of tenderness.

The lunch plates start off around $6.99 and are identical to what you would find all around town. I'm convinced that they all get the same ingredients from Sysco or something. Probably the biggest complaint that I have about this place and I forgot to mention it about the breakfast tacos is that they seem to use the typical flour tortillas used in the main stream places rather than the more authentic texture ones used at most places in town. This was very surprising.

They do have a lunch special that ranges from $7.50 to $8.50. M-F. The lunch is no frills or thrills.

Other than convenience, there is nothing that would make me come back to this place to eat.

Had great service from the young man and young lady that were working. Very attentive, coffee cup never went empty! I think I'm in love with their tortillas. O really. As you can tell by the pictures they are homemade. I was in the mood for barbacoa, little bit of fat but otherwise very good. Pork chop was delicious. A lot of times when you get the pork chop cut up like this they don't give you a lot, this is not the case packed with pork chop toasted beautifully. And then of course I always have to try a bean and cheese and that was also a major score. Very good. And this friend loves corn tortillas and they said this was one of the best corn tortillas they've had in a while, again check out the picture, and you can tell its homemade. Just a bean and cheese taco but my friend said that corn tortilla was everything. And I'm not a coffee connoisseur but I like a good cup. This was a good cup, or four LOL. My friend suggested this place and I was kind of hesitant. I went probably 10 years ago and was not a fan at all. I'm glad my friend talked me into it and after talking to our server he said the new owners took over a while back and I said "you could tell". This place is on my taco...

Went a couple of weeks ago in the morning , ordered a fajita gordita and it was good . After I was done I asked about a chicken fajita Gordita but quickly changed my mind as the lady told me it was a shredded chicken style and not fajita cut. I specifically said to her nevermind I’ll take one exactly like the first one . When the food came out I told her that I asked for one exactly as the first one . The second Gordita was in fact shredded chicken .After it came out she said that I never ordered one and kept going on about how she was sure I didn’t instead of hearing me out as the customer . We asked for warmer coffe bc it was not hot and she talked back instead of just kindly serving us . We don’t bother a lot we just wanted to eat as regular customers but service is always an important part of a job since we are paying for it. the food was good but the service was not it. As someone who works in food service it was just...

I am disappointed by Hacienda Patron Taqueria Y Restaurant at 459 McCarty Rd for placing flyers under the windshield wipers of vehicles in nearby apartment complexes and neighborhoods where they do not have permission. When I called to request that they stop, I was told the manager was unavailable and the call was ended without resolution. I tried calling several times on different days. This practice constitutes civil trespass under Texas law, which prohibits entering private property without consent, and could also create a safety issue under Texas Transportation Code Section 547.613, which makes it a misdemeanor to operate a vehicle with objects attached to the windshield that obstruct the driver’s view. Even if no one is cited, this unwanted advertising is disrespectful to residents and risks being considered littering or a public nuisance.
