Went to this mostly "outdoor" casual style restaurant to see the pickle ball courts for my birthday dinner with my parents. However, it was too cold to eat outside, so my Dad and I walked around outside to see the indoor and outdoor courts, including 1 indoor foosball, 1 outdoor ping pong table, and a bunch of outdoor "bean bag" tossing game spots. The many outdoor wooden Jinga puzzle locations were all over the ground and parents were ignoring their children stomping on all the wooden puzzle pieces, instead of supervising and teaching their children the correct way to use the Jinga puzzle pieces as the game was intended. The few places with fire pits were already snagged by 6 pm when we arrived. Plus, we did not want to eat outside with 55 degrees and breezy winds. But it was a place I was curious about. All in all, the potential of this place is enormous, but with mismanaged opportunities to create more space between the seated parties, it is difficult to even pass through in this crowded space to walk to your table and exit afterwards. This place is more suitable for reservation only spaces of large parties of at least 6 - 10 reserved spaces and there was a reserved private room up to 120 people *basically the size of a restaurant for a private party, which of course was booked. As a result, there is very little space to walk up and find indoor seating. We had to sit upstairs in a small "sports bar" area where they blasted us with tv screens everywhere loudly showing wrestling and boxing championship games. đ But I'm still glad we went because it was a place I had been curious about for a while, and it was my choice to check it out for my birthday. I am standing in front of the outdoor stage, which had no live music on a Saturday night, probably because itâs still "Winter". The food was OK, at semi-inflationary âreasonableâ prices ($13 for choices of one: sandwich/burger w/fries/salad/bowl/appetizer plus figure on paying $3 for a soda/tea - so $16 a person for fast food), passable as "bar" fast food but not as good restaurant food or a dining in restaurant atmosphere. The bar tab will set you back with a $10 per beer/glass of wine and I think I saw the cocktail prices were $16 per drink. In any case, it was way too loud to enjoy any conversation if you sit inside because they force blast you with unpopular sporting events on all the Tvs (wrestling and boxing) that nobody is watching, by observing other customers they did not come there to watch the obnoxiously loud wrestling/boxing matches. I do not like seeing a person already pinned to the ground where they allow the person on top to beat the person in the head repeatedly. đ Wrestling has certainly changed from the old rules they used to have which didn't allow hitting someone in the face, Jaw, cranium, while they are pinned to the ground. That is not a family thing I would want my kids to watch and children were everywhere at this place, inside and out.
Conversations can be had outdoors if you can bundle up with coats and blankets, but your food would turn ice cold in 90 seconds, so enduring the crowded tables and excessively loud broadcast of an unpopular, unpleasant to see wrestling and boxing match was our best option given...
Read moreThis was my first time trying this place, and what a monumental letdown. I had such high hopes and was looking forward to possibly bringing in more business with organizations. I bought a series of items to try. First on the list was the chicken and ribs. The quality of ribs is absolutely horrid, with a sandy and gritty texture lot of cartilage. 0 - 0 for their ribs. Next on the list was the chicken. Quarter chicken white meat with the honey barbecue Brew. Chicken came out lukewarm. With a little too much color. And I did not taste any of the honey barbecue on the chicken. Next was the broccolini. This one had a chance, but once again, it was cold and lukewarm. This one is grilled over an open flame, so I had decent flavor. It just needs to be hot, please. Street corn ice cold. My son got the avocado hummus that was halfway decent. This was a Tuesday they had a taco special his were also cold. He had said had they been ready to serve, you would have given them an eight, but he gave them a five. The size of the tacos is that of a coaster for your drink. I did bring it to my servers attention. I did not want to contact the manager because I was not looking to get a free meal. That is something I just don't do. If it's horrible and I don't finish it, then I ask for my money, but if I finish it, I will never ask for it back. Being served cold food as a first world problem but what I'm paying the prices for food that I feel is a little overpriced for the quality and the service they provided then I do at least want hot food. Like I said I really wanted to like this place it looks like a lot of fun and I can see why it stays open if it did not have all the other amenities to it I couldn't see a place like this staying open on the food alone. I may give it one more shot and try their burger. Hopefully, they will warm them up. And last the mixed berry cobbler was the only dish that was served hot. And it was also brought with our regular order not at the end like you would want...
Read moreThis was my first time playing which I definitely enjoyed. The courts are both indoor and outdoors. So much space between each court. Bring your own paddles and balls unless you want to get charged to rent. There is a waiver that you have to sign at the time of check in with w confirmation required. Very big space so much in this area. Courts, seating outside with a big screen, dinning areas inside and outside, and igloo rentals on top. The bar area was a let down. All the servers available and not one attempted to let me know they would right with me so I had to grab there attention which probably came off rude, but after standing there for 5 minutes or so with no one speaking to you was annoying. I was first one there and they attended someone that just walked up faster. The bartender was very standoffish and quite honestly did not have good customer service. The seating area inside is first come first serve which can be chaos for large parties. Thankful we were able to get a good table in a reserved area. Our server Gabriel did the best he could with such a large party, and during a busy couple of hours. Unfortunately the drinks were not good (old fashioned, yippie chai yay, and mango margarita). The food was okay, just had some come out cold. The seating area played very loud music at times which made it hard to talk to one another without yelling. There is limited parking otherwise you parking in the dirt area and have a little of a walk to get to the entrance. This is a very busy place and has can get very crowded. If looking to play it would be best to make a reservation ahead of time. It was great to get into a new sport, but probably going to look for a different...
