This location is close to my work and I had been wanting to try it out. So yesterday, my husband, our two year old, and I decided to stop in for burgers. I got a single patty with basic toppings, add bacon. My husband got the Big Easy, and we got our two year old the kids chicken tender meal. We also got bacon cheese fries. Our burgers were decent. Not spectacular but tasty, and I really liked the pickles. Our bacon cheese fries were good, although a small amount for the price. The kids chicken tenders looked bad. The ends were black, looking burnt. So I took a bite and they tasted burnt. They were also VERY small. So I took them to the counter and a young woman from the back came up to say that was just the color of the batter. I told her I tasted it and it was burnt. No apology, but she said they'd remakes them for us. By the time we were almost done eating they brought the tenders back. The new ones looked the same. So when they were cool enough to handle I tasted one, tasted the crust on its own, then flaked the crust off the tender and tasted the chicken on its own. I have worked food service before. They were using old oil, with those black burnt bits in it, and frying them at too high of a temperature. But all that aside, the chicken on its own tasted old, rubbery, just awful. I decided I would not be feeding that to my child. The little one was already getting restless and I just didn't have it in me to argue about chicken when they obviously were going to try to come up with excuses (color of the batter). We will not be returning. Not even for shakes. I know there is a chicken shortage but if your tenders are going to be like that, just take them...
Read moreFirst experience: My mom came all the way from Cibolo to get a burger for my brother. I had frequented this restaurant and had nothing but praise to give about the quality of the food thus prompting my brother to want to try it out for himself. Upon arrival I noticed that there is a sign on the front door stating that this store's hours of operation end at 9pm, not any earlier. The door was also unlocked. As I walked in with my mother at 812 pm and she proceeded to try to give her order she was told that today they had stopped taking orders at 8pm even though there was no sign posted on their front door about the early closure. She asked to speak to the manager who was not present at the time, so she was greeted by the head cook, who is a thin and tall, African American gentlemen. She explained to him that her order should still be able to be fullfilled since the restaurant was currently still open. He immediately raised his voice, starting cursing at her and threatened to call the cops on her if she did not leave the restaurant. My father had to come into the restaurant to try and de-escalate the situation and my father was greeted with the same poor attitude as my mother was. This seems to be a trend with the head cook as a different employee spoke to me and apologized for the behavior of the head cook. Never have we ever been treated with such disrespect and lack of care for a potential customer. In the end, my mother tried calling the owner of the restaurant who disregarded the situation and acted as if her words didn't matter to him. Never will I give this restaurant my business again and neither...
Read moreIt's been awhile since I have done a review for a place so, sorry for the lack of pictures right when it came out. Food was hot and freshly cooked. I got a Double, mushrooms, grilled onions, bacon, Swiss cheese and the Cajun remoulade w/ onion rings and a Strawberry Banana Milkshake. GF got the cheesey add bacon w/ tarter tots and a Oreo Mud Pie Shake. Also got an order of Mac and Cheese Bites. 1st bite I was like wow this is really good, that was the Cajun remoulade. The mushrooms and onions were perfect. But just like 90% of all burger places there was no Salt and Pepper on the meat itself. The meat itself lacked any real flavor, GF burger was like that also. They original forgot the Mac and cheese bites and had to go back up and ask for them (not really too much of a big deal). Onion rings we're bland there is 0 seasoning on the batter. The Tater tots had no salt on them. My strawberry and banana milkshake was very meh, can tell they used really ice cream but the flavoring tasted like it's a powdered mix. Pretty sure they got the GF milkshake wrong and gave her just an Oreo milkshake, or there is a serious lack of espresso flavoring in the mud pie shake. The Mac and Cheese Bites were very meh also, it's Kraft Mac and cheese, it tastes exactly like the ones at Fast Eddies, so makes me think there is a place to buy frozen pre-made ones and just fry them up, so how much is the rest of the food is frozen and...
