Although my silly self does not partake in Karaoke, I love going and watching the good performers. This place has a pretty good setup. Instead of having the person running the karaoke being right on center stage, they are in a DJ booth away from the stage and behind the audienceâs back. You donât even realize they are there. They chime in every once in a while, to call up the next singer and also offer a little DJ banter, but they are not overwhelmingly annoying or right up in your face like some karaoke places. The sound system was decent too. The music ranges from country to modern pop, and some early 90sâs stuff like Weezer.
Parking is a real bear around here because of the popular restaurant next door and of course because of the popular Dadâs Karaoke. The lots fill up EARLY, but you can park on the street. I got there at 7:30pm and the parking lots and most of the street parking was full and they were towing people from neighboring lots. Be very careful of which lots you park in because they WILL tow you â even though the businesses are closed at night. The friendly staff at Dadâs Karaoke will gladly point you toward the safe places to park though. Just ask someone and they will even walk outside with you and tell you where is safe and where is not.
3 bartenders for 75-100 customers: The bartenders canât keep track of who walked up to the bar first, so you might wait forever to get drinks while some might walk right up and get a drink. My biggest peeve this night was that one of the bar tenders was on her phone for literally 5 minutes while lots of people were waiting for drinks. She finally put her phone away and took the order from the guy to my right (who had just walked up - I had been standing there for a few minutes) but before she brought him his drinks, she took a minute to make herself a drink. Thatâs real class after making us wait for several minutes.
Reserved tables: It seemed as if most of the tables were reserved that night, but the patrons didnât show up until much later. So you might want to look into reserving a table if you have your crew with you. Iâm not sure if you have to pay to do that or not though.
It is a fun place, but the parking, poor bartender service and all the empty reserved tables are a real turn off. I wonât recommend this place to anyone but if my lousy friends try and drag me out to this place again, I just might have to go with them. But only because my friends are the bestEST and the mostEST...
Read moreI donât write reviews often, but my experience at Dadâs Karaoke was so appalling that I canât stay silent. My girlfriend and I were just trying to enjoy a fun night out singing, having a couple of drinks, and soaking in the vibe. What we got instead was humiliation and unjust treatment that left us stunned. It started when I stood near the bar to order an energy drink in a crowded room. I was unaware I was in a staff aisle, and a barback kindly asked me to move. I stepped into the only tiny space left at the barâs edge. Out of nowhere, a tall man, flanked by people I later learned were the owners grips physically pushed me by my lower back. I calmly explained I was waiting for a drink, but he snapped, âThis is not a line,â dismissing me like I was nothing. I didnât make a scene. I held my ground with a look and went back to my seat. But the situation escalated bizarrely. The barback pulled us aside, warning me not to âassert myselfâ because the owners were there and âhe didnât want trouble.â As someone whoâs worked in hospitality, I brushed it off to keep the peace. But when I returned to the bar for another round, the same man glared at me, his group staring daggers. Then, a woman from their party dramatically jumped into the aisle, yelling that Iâd bumped her a complete fabrication. Approx. 12:00AM if you check the camera footage.
Before we knew it, staff demanded we leave. No explanation, no warning, just âthe owners said so.â We were treated like criminals for simply existing in their space. We couldnât even finish our drinks, staff told us to chug them and get out. My girlfriend, shaken, asked why, but got only yelling from a bouncer. Another bouncer quietly admitted that if the owners want you gone, youâre gone. Customer fairness? Irrelevant. We left, humiliated and angry, but we didnât stoop to their level. This wasnât just bad service, it was a power trip that ruined our night. I urge management to review the cameras and see the truth. No one deserves to be treated this way. Iâm reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and disputing the charges for drinks we were forced to abandon. Save your money and your dignity, avoid Dadâs Karaoke. Iâm warning everyone I know, and I hope others share their stories to hold this place...
Read moreThis place has great atmosphere nice DJs and a comfortable smoking area outside the bar you can get to it if you walk straight through from the front door all the way to the back past the bathrooms they'll be a big black door push that open and you will be on the back patio. Complete with beer buckets cigarette trays and a wrap around porch with benches. The bathrooms are okay only 2000 ladies room I'm not sure about the men's but the stage is big and the sound system is epic you would definitely be heard by everyone there's even a speaker system outside on the back patio so you can hear your name once it's called for you to sing your song. You must have ID at the entrance of this karaoke club and some of those who are supposed to surprise the door and checked your ID are not very pleasant but all the whole you don't have to talk to them much anyway. The bartenders are okay not very pretty girls one lesbian chick was very mean but I guess she has to be she was also the ID Checker as a front door. I've been to this club several times if you are a person who is obsessed with karaoke do not go on the weekend this particular karaoke club only allows you to request one song at a time you cannot request another song unless your requested song has been sung. This leads to Epic disappointment during the weekends since the place gets packed and there could be over 60 people on the list to sing. But if you're looking for a great time with some reoccurring fantastic singers and drunken pathetic singers mix in of course this is the place for you. This karaoke bar Services the mid age group we're talking from 28 to 50 years old. Halloween is the best holiday to go to this place it is on and Poppin and everyone is in character and it's all unique I saw Dora the Explorer last year at this karaoke bar along with the Ghostbusters and believe it or not American Sniper. If you ever get a chance to speak to the owner please do he is awesome cares about...
