Denny's — Restaurant in San Antonio

These guys have a very strange way of doing business. My order totaled $53. I had DoorDash delivery it to my hotel, which was 7.9 miles (10 minutes) away. I included a delivery fee, along with a 15% tip. I got the package in when the girl brought it up to the door. My wife checked the contents, and everything was included except the drinks, and all the pancakes. So, I texted the girl to that effect. She said that the restaurant did not hand her the drinks or the pancakes. I called the restaurant, and they listened, and asked if I could come and pick up the contents that were left out. I said no. They said to try Door Dash. I got on DoorDash, and the DoorDash phone person said that indeed the restaurant forgot to place the missing contents of my order. So, DoorDash said that I need to contact the restaurant the next morning to get a refund because the person responsible for approval of refunds was not there, and the order was "closed" on the DoorDash end of the deal. There you go. So, we have a meal without any drinks we ordered, and without any of the several pancakes we ordered. And, no, they are not going to try to bring the missing contents to me, but they are going to allow me to call tomorrow morning to get a refund, Are you kidding me? I do not mind minor mistakes. But, business is business, and you must deliver what was ordered, and make things right. In this case, there is no sense of making things right. I would recommend STAYING AWAY from this particular Denny's restaurant in San Antonio, until there is new management. I would also recommend NOT using DoorDash until it is under...

I understand it's a holiday and seems that they were short staffed for thanksgiving but with what seemed to be only 2 servers with 6 tables this was very disappointing. We got there with less tables initially and watched as they ignored us coming in the door and one with an attitude just told us (party of 2) to seat ourselves without menus or anything. The server finally came with menus and just stood there waiting for us to tell them what we wanted without introducing themselves or even talking. Watched as another table of 3 people came in and left after 15 minutes of sitting with no help. All our food came out cold and instead of remaking some of it, it seemed like they gave me burnt scraps that were already made and reheated. Couldn't get refills on a drink while my husband was choking and basically got ignored unless we flagged the waitress down. Had our check handed to us without asking if we were even done dining. In addition we watched other people come in and get ignored at the door and they sat there for 20-30 minutes waiting to be addressed. I've worked in the food industry and I know it can be rough but this just screams unorganized and unprofessional. They weren't that busy but definitely didn't seem like they cared. Went to have breakfast with a friend and honestly, it's the only reason I even stayed. They were steady but not too busy for a late morning on a weekday. The tables that were seated already had their food, a couple wait staff walked past me several times no greeting or even acknowledgement that I was standing there at all. It wasn't until a couple more customers came in and stood in a line behind me that another waiter came walking from the kitchen and asked if we wanted to sit down. After several more minutes, they came back and said to follow her. An older man that came inside after us followed too. He sat off to the side behind us I guess to charge his phone or whatever. It was unusually warm in the section we were sitting in we mentioned that to the waiter but no actual response. There was another long wait to place our order. The wait time for the food wasn't too bad but food and drinks were brought out together. My friends food didn't look good but he chose to eat what he could. I asked for a plasticware for my food another unusual wait. My friend paid and went outside due to the temperature in the section and food. So I finished mine alone waiter never came back no refill on my drink or check in to see I wanted a to go box or order not even a goodbye.

Disappointed and won't go back. . . But doesn't seem to matter either way after...
