UPDATE!!! I went back on a Tuesday when they opened and it was a lot better as far as the crowd. The service was MUCH better so I’m changing my rating. I got the sampler of the Turkish delights and OH…MY…GOD… every single one of them is fantastic!! I was going into it expecting they taste all the same and boy was I wrong. Even the ones that looked weird or sounded weird were actually my favorite. The employee was very patient with me and went over what was in all the different types. I think this is my new favorite dessert place and dessert!!
I went here last Saturday to try the none other than the viral Dubai chocolate bar because I heard they had it there. The parking lot is very small and it was packed! The line was strewn throughout the store and almost out the door. I didn’t know where the line started, where it ended, where to order,or anything like that everything was kind of chaotic. I finally got to the counter where somebody asked me if I needed help I said yes, they were sold out of some things, including the Dubai chocolate but I was going to get other things anyway once the guy asked me if I needed help, I said yes I’d like something in the other refrigerator down the way he walked over there and started helping somebody else so I was a little upset at that fact, cause I’ve been waiting for at least 10 minutes. Continue to wait for probably another 2 to 3 minutes before somebody else asked me if I needed help and I said yes I would like something in the other refrigerator so he then helped me out the rest of the way I got, this pistachio vanilla cake thing, a traditional cannoli, this cheesecake bar thing that he didn’t know the name of, and then at the very end they ended up putting out more Dubai chocolate so I got one bar of the pistachio Dubai chocolate. After you order, you have to wait longer till they call your number cause I guess they have to package it up a specific way than you get called to go up and pay. These four things cost me $25 and I know it may seem expensive but I do think it was well worth the money. There are quite a lot of things on their menu that I would love to try because all of everything I tried was fantastic! You can really tell that they put pride and hard work into their pastries and desserts there. I would 10 out of 10 recommend going to try anything there. I haven’t been on a weekday, but I might try going again during the week to see if it’s a little less crazy but I’m excited to try a lot of what they have to offer and I will definitely be returning just be prepared to wait if it’s really busy or possibly...
Read moreWent to try this place for the first time today with my mother, siblings and my daughter. Let me just say, the customer service right off the bat was RUDE. The older lady that was working the area nearest the big cakes, farthest from the register, was just SO unfriendly and spoke to all of us like we were dumb for not knowing the procedure or the order of things because it was our first time there! Then we thought we were waiting in line to pay which is very confusing. There's like 2-3 different lines crossing into each other and they don't explain to go wait on the side until they call out your number. It's so unorganized in there.. Anyway, once we stood in line thinking we were trying to pay, my mom gets told to move out of the way rudely by the older bald guy dealing with the Dubai chocolate bars in the middle. She complied quickly but was shocked by how rude everyone was. The only employees I would say are semi friendly or welcoming are the younger ppl in the place. The younger boys with curly hair had great customer service skills. Then at the end of the visit my sister and I were still waiting for our chocolate strawberry cups for about 15mins after watching many ppl who ordered AFTER us get theirs and leave. Just for my sister to finally go up and ask "have you called insert name?" and for the same older lady to look at her so annoyed and say "No I didnt and no I don't have it" and was about to just walk away without trying to figure out what happened?? She finally got it and we left but I'm so upset about this. I actually haven't felt the need to write a bad review on any place in a LONG TIME but this was unbelievable to me. This was our first impression of this place and the pastries and candy they make are beautiful and delicious but the terrible customer service left a very bad taste in our mouths. For us to have spent over $100 in one swoop just to be made to feel stupid or like we were bothering the workers is unacceptable. Please do better...
Read moreI went this evening to this restaurant and it was my first time there. The food is very savory, sweet and refreshing. It’s light on the tongue and stomach for me personally. I enjoyed it. Especially the cake. It was the best of it all aside front the lavender with rose petals dessert. The pricing matched in my opinion considering it’s Turkish and Dubai chocolates etc. However, when I first ordered and chose the cake the server reminded me of the price upfront, unasked for, as if I wasn’t aware and it felt as if he profiled me from the start. I found this place online and did my research as to pricing and got a general idea of what the restaurant entailed. He told me if was quote “$39 and to keep that in mind while ordering the rest.” Then he proceeded to say “that’s a big family when I ordered 7 of the birds nest,” and I simply replied with “yeah it’s for my kids and I and my family it’s a birthday party.” He continued to stare me and then questioned me when I ordered the Dubai chocolate bar and said and I quote “it’s $20 are you sure..?” He stared from across the room as I sat and waited and it felt very implicit, rude, and I felt profiled. He was still kind and friendly but the questioning of my financial decisions and the constant reminder of pricing felt very unprofessional and uncomfortable. He also stated that the way the lavender looks is intriguing, which felt implicit as well, when I questioned what it was and he couldn’t explain to me that it was a dessert or anything at all. All he said was “you can sample it, just try it and you’ll see.” I was asking as to what it was ample times and couldn’t get a clear response. I was intrigued but because of the lavender and rose petals as somebody who has practiced Wiccan beliefs, I thought it was an exciting idea to eat such beautiful flowers. I also asked mainly because I wanted ingredients of it as my family has common food allergies which...
