EVO — Restaurant in San Antonio

This place had almost 5 stars before they opened, so I am not sure how reliable the reviews are. I am briefly giving my 2 cents.

First off, the dining room is a cluster when you walk in. Even though they have a ton of space for order kiosks and seating, they placed 2 small kiosks in front of the door and left the rest of the room empty. There is no cashier, so the doorway is quickly blocked by people ordering. When you get things to go, there is no seating even though there is more than enough room for couches. That being said, the dining room has a couch that nobody will use because its in the dining room… the layout is very poorly planned. Theres also metal things everywhere that look out of place and take up room, rather than building a welcoming and efficient front entrance. The first thing customers see when they enter is a soda machine, followed by a confused “theres no cashier”, and finally a frantic look around to understand what to do.

Food is decent. Could definitely improve. Evidently this owner had a previous business that didnt work out, and the place before this was also a popular vegan spot. There wasn't many options to order but that might be temporary since theyre new.

Staff was nice. We didnt see any leadership. The girls helping customers operate kiosks and constantly shuffling customers away from the door were doing a good job.

Overall, this place is subpar as it stands, and hopefully it improves soon. This is not a forgiving location if your business doesn't attract people. I would also venture to say these reviews are imported from another location or they...

When i walked in it immediately smelled funny. Not sure about that.

I ordered at a kiosk. Food came out quickly.

Problem is it was and wasn't what I ordered. I ordered a Korean BBQ bowl. I got a Korean BBQ wrap. I showed the lady my ticket, which clearley said bowl. The lady offered for me to keep the wrap and make me a bowl. I asked her what the difference was between the two and she said just the tortilla. I just kept the wrap and dumped everything out of the burrito.

When I tell you this thing was 90% white rice, it's no lie. I barely had two pieces of meat about 2-3 inches long, little kale and all rice. So much sauce too. Only thing about it was what i ate tasted great. This was definitely not worth the $12.00 at all.

Hidden gem!!! I feel like this place is not well advertised but once I found it, it’s become a go to. They are seed oil, free and have grass fed burgers and an array of other healthy options all for affordable prices. I’ve gotten their pizza, double burger, and steak bowl and all has been amazing. They will sub out an ingredient for something else without charging extra. They have excellent lemonade and different, really good sodas as well. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful 12/ 10 for customer service. Come check this place out. You can tell that they really care about the customer experience and if they enjoyed their food or not.
