I missed the entry to the Crown Plaza and pulled in by accident. My wife and I shared that we both had seen it a million times and neither had even entered. We also both remembered there being something like "Christmas all year long" advertised in some way. Since we had a min, we (she) decided that we (we) were finally going to check it out. It is a very interesting building and everyone was very warm and welcoming. They have a little of everything, old and new, displayed in a fairly attractive layout, though slighty crowded. Understandable given the breadth of products that a home and patio store has to cover. We ventured up the large floating wood staircase in the center of the showroom where the famous "Christmas" room was located. It was surprisingly nice and not creepy. I don't know why I thought otherwise or what creepy would even mean in that case, but I think u know what I mean. It was simply laid out, mainly using the walls for their huge ornament display and Jim Shore and other collections. The ornaments are nice and vary widely in style and materials. There is the coolest overhead train set mounted from the ceiling though it looked to be in need of repair. We explored this place for probably 15min discovering all sorts of things. They carry higher end item so pricing is set according though they had some nice clearance finds. I should warn you, you will likely find things you never knew you needed, but you will now.
We stopped in to window shop, on a whim, and it was kinda cool. Nostalgic and relevant, with both traditional and modern stuff. My new need is one of those cool outdoor coffee table gas fire pit things and my wife's is one of those water fall fountains. Oh and the composit material they use for the outdoor furniture is pretty awesome, again priced accordingly. I don't have anything much to compared this place to. To summarize it is unique, interesting, nice, and warm. If I were in the market for anything like they had, I'd would consider working with them, otherwise it's worth a visit if you never have, just for the fun of it. Could it be nicer, sure, but if it were my place it would be a complete mess. They are pulling it off pretty well and have done so for a long time.
Im not sure if they will appreciate me saying this, but you should stop in, even if only to check it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe selection of patio furniture here is fantastic, but the customer service is absolutely awful. We have spent over $10,000 at this store in the past month and came in recently to purchase a few more items. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.
The employee, Tish, does not greet customers, acts bothered when you ask for help, and seems annoyed when you actually want to make a purchase. She is unhelpful and very rude, which makes the entire buying process unpleasant. The older lady working in the back is equally unfriendly, which only adds to the negative experience.
If it werenāt for the great selection, we would never come back. Thankfully, we now have enough patio furniture that we wonāt need to encounter Tish again anytime soon. On a positive note, Krista and her husband are both fantasticāprofessional, welcoming, and helpful. Unfortunately, the poor customer service from Tish and the other employee...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've purchased a few things from Home and Patio Store. So far, I bought a large, large pot for my Mediterranean palm, two gorgeous cast aluminum chairs, and a beautiful cast aluminum table base. The store delivered all these items directly to my house at a minimal cost. I also purchased those beautiful chaise lounge cushions...they dry quickly and cleaning them off is a breeze! My next purchase will be a stone table top, and possibly two more chairs. The Home and Patio Store also works with you if you want to put something on layaway. I...
