My original review was 4/5 stars. However I am updating due to my past 2 visits within 2 weeks.
We did an online order with them and spent $40-50 for a family meal with chicken tenders, fries, green beans, and mac n cheese.
The food was good as usual however my fries were completely undercooked. You could tell by their pale color, but I figured I'd taste it first just to be sure. I may as well have just bit into a 25% cooked potato - it was was not cooked even halfway. I had to throw them into the air fryer for about 15-20 min.
I gave them a call and the female manager said she could have them re-done and I could pick them up. I told her I live 30 min away and said, "Okay, next time you come in we can replace your whole meal." I said okay and she asked for my name and number. I suppose she then realized how much food we had ordered and kind of mumbled something about getting the fries replaced next time. I just said okay and figured she had it written down, so it won't be an issue.
Fast forward about 8 days later... the male manager on duty says, "Oh yes, we are getting you your fries and pie." I told him I didn't have a pie and he said for the inconvenience, "We can only redo the fries and the pie is for your inconvenience." I told him we will not eat the dessert and I'd rather have something we would actually eat even if he cannot replace the entire order. (I completely understand it was a lot of food.)
So he offered 1 piece of cod instead.. I told him no, that's okay..
Anywho... anytime there has been a mess up, they've ALWAYS made it right. This time it was almost laughable.... I wasn't asking him to replace the entire order, but I did expect more than just a pie considering I ordered ANOTHER family meal that 2nd visit. We did get a free thing of tea, but we were just so disappointed at the lack of care they had for the undercooked fries and inconvenience due to being so far. I probably will visit a different location going forward. The location on Rigsby is always amazing - food...
Read moreThis evening we were invited to Laguna Madre for dinner by my friend Gloria Aguilar. We arrived at about 8:30 and she and I ordered the #1 Fish and Shrimp Combo with an extra piece of fish. My husband ordered the Chicken Strips. We were the only ones there, except for a man waiting for a to-go order. Our order took about 15 minutes. When we got our food, the fish pieces were skimpy and overfried. The hush puppies were rock hard and the bread was cold and hard. The chicken strips were thin and hard as well. I was very disappointed to see our food as my friend's tab was over $54.00. I ordered pumpkin pie which I never received. My friend asked to have her food redone and the girl at the counter said they would do her order over. We waited until 9:15 and her plate never came. I finally went to the counter to speak to a man I thought might be the manager. I asked him if her order was ready and he looked at me blankly. I told him the young lady said my friend's order would be re-done and he responded, "I wasn't informed." I explained that my friend's food was overcooked and he said, "I can see it from here", never bothering to see the food for himself. But when I checked my bag everything was wrong ,went inside and spoke to the manager in charge he was rude and didn't understand what I was telling him about my order. He then started taking out food from the bag and flipped over a plate of food because he was upset that he had to change it. Let him know I just wanted my money back. He told me that Laguna doesn't give refunds. So I said fine just give me food I paid for asked for general managers info and he provided store phone number. It was a horrible experience. We ask for not tomatoes in the sandwiches, but still, but tomatoes. Instead of giving me a better replacement, he just said to put the side together to make the meal hole.. very disappointed in the restaurant.
SECOND DAY I HAVE CALLED THE RESTAURANT and they refuse to give me back my money, told me they would have to ask the Area manager, for approvel, and when I call the main office they say Ford my call to the complaint phone line, witch does not get answer the two times I called, it just say to leave a voice mail.
