Place full of empty tables, and I ask the hostess to be seated at a low table. A waitress, named Daphnee, comes over with an attitude telling me that if I want to sit and a table other than the dirty high table, that has yet to even be cleared of tthe food from last customer, then I will have to wait. There are at least 10 low tables that are clean and available. I ask of she's the mngr and she's not. I ask to speak to the manager and Daphnee rusehes offer to the mngr, Montrinique, and begins to roll her eyes and talk about me to the mngr. The mngr comes to me and says did she tell you there's a wait? I'm like no she said that if I want to sit at any other available table I'll have to wait. I than say no thanks I'll go somewhere else to eat. The mngr goes away to get me her contact info and Daphnee proceeds to talk to the hostess about me and is laughing about the situation right next to me about two feet from me. This was so stupid and Daphne's attitude and unwillingness to accommodate me at a no bar height table is ridiculous. I took pics of all the available tables. You know there could be a very good reason as to why I would not sit at the high table. Please if you're very at San Antonio airport spend your money elsewhere. Raising Cane's chicken fingers next to it has better service...
Read moreThis place is ABSOLUTELY not good!!!! I get that this is a airport restaurant bit I travel a lot and this was a "smh" experience. The waitresses seem pretty ok and attentive. However, the food is NOT GOOD and when I questioned the server and manger about the absce of flavor that is traditionally found in Mexican cuisine, I was told that "This is different from what you would find outside of the airport bc its authentic...."??🙄🤔 I think NOT! Authentic Mexican cuisine is FULL of flavor and absolutely delicious! This tasted like tacos from Thanksgiving dinner in 2018!! Iasked for some sour cream to try and some flavor to the EXTREMELY DRY tacos and was told "Rhat will be an EXTRA $2.00"!!! Really for sour cream that more than likely is an off-brand and watery! I then asked for a Tamale which again was SUPER DUPER DRY! Now mind you I LOVE Tamales and they (outside of Tacos El Pastor) are my go to entrees. I saw this place thinking it would be great but unfortunately it was very disappointing. The wine I must was good. So in closing it may be better if I try this same restaurant at their other location OUTSIDE of...
Read moreI see several 4 star reviews that have nothing negative to say. Don't be afraid to give this place 5 stars. No wait! 2. Read menu so didn't get charged for something that I agreed to eat. 3. Our server Robert was fantastic! Very pleasant and polite, answered questions we had about the menu, and offered suggestions which we took. I got the Bistec Especial and the wife got Aguacate and both were fantastic. We also had top shelf margaritas which were equally as good. Pricey for the portion??? YES - you're in an airport! Not sure where the "bad" food comments come from as this was the best food that we had over our three day stay...and we ate at the most popular and highest rated restaurants in town as well as a street vendor at a festival that was going on at Market Square. My daughter leaves Saturday and I told her to try the Pearl location because we liked...
