I will start by saying that Maggiano's was one of my favorites. I think they have the BEST lasagna. Well, they used to.
We went to visit on 3/19/25. My husband told me they had changed the chicken parm to Grande Chicken Parm and he would like to try it. I agreed. We sat down, they brought bread and did the olive oil thing. No seasoning for the olive oil. They explained that they stopped doing that to "align" with the rest of the stores and have it all done one way. Cool. We ordered the new parm and I ordered the lasagna. My husband likes to have spaghetti with his parm, and the new dish comes with Rigatoni. He asked if it would be possible to swap the pasta as per his preference and was told it was. When the food came out, there was rigatoni and no spaghetti, so I ask the runner to fix it. My husband was in the bathroom at the time. The fix was to bring a side of spaghetti. When my husband got back, he asked if they could replate it so that the chicken and spaghetti was all on one plate because that is how he eats it. All together. They said "of course" and took it away to accomplish this.
A few moments later a lady in a chef coat brought my husband's food, still plated incorrectly, to a different table and proceeded to talk to them at length about something. We called over the server and asked what the heck was happening. She (Rocio) then brought the food to our table and began to explain how they did not want to replate the dish because doing so would ruin the "integrity" of the Grande Parmesan. Their policy was to leave it intact and serve the spaghetti on the side (no one mentioned this before now btw). I asked if she was refusing to replate the dish. She said, "No'. So I asked her specifically if she would do what I asked and put the chicken and the spaghetti on one plate. She said she could but then started to try to continue the Grande Parmesan Educational Lecture. I stopped her and said, "Just go do what I asked you to do." starting to lose my patience. She replied, "Sir, don't be like that." I was about to come undone as she turned and left to go fix it.
15 min later, still no replacement. I ate my Lasagna (the recipe for this is also changed and not nearly as good as it once was) and we just asked that they bring us the check because we were kind of done. It was obvious that she just didn't want to serve my husband any food.
My husband has an illness for which the treatment makes him not feel like eating very often. His appetite struggles because the treatment is harsh as the disease. Wednesday dinner is a ritual for us that hasn't been the same since his treatments began. So when he expresses an interest in something and is excited about eating it, it is increasingly rare. I do not understand being in hospitality and then refusing to do everything you can to make a guest feel welcome and heard. It was profoundly disappointing that you refused to feed my husband all together rather than ruin the integrity of your dish. I would be more concerned about the integrity of the people working there when they seem hell bent on prioritizing rigatoni over...

When making the reservation I requested a booth away from kitchen, which was done but…the table was in direct sunlight and it was VERY obvious the seats hadn’t been cleaned (crumbs all over the seats). Our hostess quickly drew the blind to deal with the sunlight and wiped away the crumbs from ONE seat, ignoring the other.
First we noticed a substantial change in the menu. Not only what was offered but the prices as well. Hopefully the dining experience and quality have gone up with the increased prices. Sadly, it has gone down everywhere but the prices.
Our server arrived promptly and took our drink orders, and poured the obligatory olive oil onto a plate for dipping the bread. No seasoning added to the olive oil, and we waited a while for the drinks (lemonade and Diet Coke )and bread to arrive, even longer for my wife’s peach Bellini. My Diet Coke was given a straw, my daughters lemonade was not.
The salads arrived along with our order of fried mozzarella, which was once a highlight of Maggianos. The mozzarella, all 3 pieces, were 3 different colors, obviously not all cooked the same. The Maggiano salad, underwhelming. Gone is the flavorful burst in your mouth, now it’s just average or even slightly below.
Now the wait for the main course. Not a short weight. Somewhere in the area of over 45 minutes approaching one hour. This was on a Monday, so it was busy, but not slammed. My order of the Beef Medallions was decent, but not great. My wife’s order of the chicken parmigiana was not good at all, and was very different than my daughters, who had ordered the exact same dish. We waited for our server to return in hopes of having it remade, but she didn’t return until well after we were finished. I asked another staff member to summon a manager. The manager arrived and apologized, letting us know they were having a supplier issue and offered to remake the dish or provide an alternative. We declined, and the manager removed the item from our check.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. I would recommend going elsewhere, which is a shame, because Maggianos was once a...
