Is it ok to close the windows/close up shop right after I order my meal and be left wondering what the cook is doing back there with my food? I know I arrived 13 min before close⌠but still, my husband orders our food, weâre met with an annoyedddd attitude by the guy- I get it. Itâs almost closing and he probably just wants to close and leave. But this is your jobâŚ. Why be mad I want food at 9:45pm when your job is to make/serve food until 10? Anyways, we quickly give him the order and he hands us a buzzer. We barely walk away as my husband is putting his card back, when the employee exits the food truck and immediately shuts the service windows as to not take anymore orders. Ok. âNO ONE ALLOWEDâ vibes. Youâre not even closed yet though⌠and still have a couple waiting for their food who canât see who-knows-what you might be doing to our food in there bc your so mad we ordered/you gotta make food at this time. ?? Idk, from beginning to end the experience just gave âwhat do you want? Hurry up, now gtfo.â As we were waiting right in front of the cart, almost 12 min later the buzzer rang, he opened the cart entrance, we got our food and left. And the employees obvious last duty was only to hand us our food bc he handed it over, locked the door behind him, and walked straight to the bar đ bars not going anywhere, buddy. In comparison, the truck across was still open and operating even at 10:03. Love the food here- we frequent the location on San Pedro. First time at this location, was surprised to find one so much closer to our house. But the experience was very...
Read moreWhen I saw this come up on Maps in my area, I was excited to see a good cheesesteak place near me. Hope were very high based on reviews and while I think everyone should give it a shot, I canât say I was as thrilled as others. I got the Original plus peppers and mushrooms.
The good: the flavor and seasonings were on point! The quantity of meat on the sandwich was also excellent. The less good: When I picked up the sub, the meat is just spilling out everywhere because Iâm pretty sure itâs ground beef!! If it started out as steak, itâs been chopped up so fine that it ends up with the texture of ground beef. It was like eating a sloppy Joe without the sauce. Putting the cheese on top to melt into the meat would help with this, but oddly the cheese was on the bread side and I wasnât sure there was cheese at all at first. So, even though I donât like to complain about someone piling on the meat⌠the cheese to steak ratio was off for me and probably contributed to the feeling it was a bit dry. Throw 2 more slices of cheese on top to keep all the meat contained and Iâd probably have been pretty happy overall. Itâs possible I caught a bad time, so Iâll probably go back for another try sometime. As far as bang for the buck, it still probably beats just getting a...
Read moreI gave it 2 stars because it was served hot. It was the worst Philadelphia cheese steak I have had. I ordered the Malik because I wanted onions, bell peppers mushrooms white cheese and mayo. Also the parm fries. The meat was way too salty . It was finely chopped and I think over cooked. The were no onions or bell peppers , I only detected overcooked chewy mushroom pieces now and then . The cheese was under all the meat and stuck to the bread. The portion of meat was large tho and the cheese was tasty . But I threw almost half away because I just couldn't eat it. The fries were hot but had a weird taste . I ate about 10 fries but couldn't stomach any more of those either. I am NOT one to throw food away. I was very disappointed. It took me 3 hours online to decide where to eat and I finally decided on Malik's . For 26.00 I wish that I had gone to Alis and ordered a giant specialty pizza and fed the whole family. Plus I was not given a receipt just an order ticket with the food order...
