On Saturday I called in a pizza to pick up. I arrived early and sat out in front of the store. I observed an employee going in and out of the store at least 4-5 times, on one trip she was wearing a face mask but went to a car and then returned without a mask. I entered the store just after the employee entered the store. The employee went to the pizza preparation area, and without washing her hands and without wearing gloves, she put her hands in the cheese and prepared a pizza. Marco's Facebook page says one of the restaurants safety procedures is having employees wash their hands every thirty minutes or more frequent if they're coming in contact with high contact areas. Well the store entrance door is about as high a contact place as there is in a restaurant. I expressed my concerns with the person who rang up my order. He was disinterested in my observations/concerns (actually no one working in the restaurant was wearing gloves or a face mask). Later that day I called the store and asked to speak to the owner. Whoever I spoke with that identified himself as the owner said he wasn't who I spoke with in the store but he was in the store at the time I had come into pick up my food. (If he was at the store then that would mean he was present while all of this took place?!) I'm really disappointed in this restaurant. I had such high hopes for this place. The employees disregard for practicing safety protocols is more then concerning. He seemed to be amused by the question as if what he said made sense. Then I proceed to try to use apply pay, not only one but both card readers were not working on Apple Pay ( I had used apply pay all day) and I went to my car and came back and told him “well I guess I’ll keep trying” since I only had 14 dollars cash on me. Which then he responded “yeah you can keep trying as many times as you want.” Long story short I had to take the root beer off which I didn’t mind too much and had to also take the two ranches off since they are about 15 cents shy of being a dollar per pop. Read moreNot sure what’s wrong with this location, I’ve ordered from the Marcos at the Rim and have had excellent experiences. Ordering at this location online didn’t give the option to customize certain things. I called the location to try and clarify what I wanted prior to them making the order. I was on hold for 25+ minutes with Connor coming in the line every now and then saying please hold and not even asking what I was calling about. It’s a pizza joint on a Tuesday night. They are not that busy to where they can’t answer a phone. I stayed on hold for 35+ minutes until calling a different location so they could relay a message. I spend $50+ on a custom pizza, I wanted it how I wanted it. My advice, order from a different location.
