Ok...when I tell you I really wanted to selfishly gatekeep this place to myself...but then when I just took a bite of my leftover baklava cheesecake, I'm like no...people need to know about this. The place is in an unassuming strip mall off the highway. I'm not even sure you'd see this if you were passing by. Make the trip. It's smaller inside (does not feel cramped even a little a bit!) but great atmosphere, phenomenal service, and the food. Omg the food....This was our first time and absolutely cannot wait to go back. We ordered the combo with the kebab and gyro. I did beef kebab and classic gyro. It comes with salad and a side, and went with their feta fries recommendation. Do yourself a favor make sure you get these fries! The steak kebab was juicy and tender, the gyro was fresh and hit the spot. We also ordered the pastasito (?) It was a Greek pasta baked with ground beef and delicious cheese. It was savory and delicious. Pasta was cooked perfectly. Everything was seasoned so well. All different flavors, but all just the right amount, and everything beyond fresh tasting. Now, absolutely save room for dessert and really plan to take a piece of something home with you as well.. We had the orange cake, a lemon blueberry in puff pastry, and took home most of the baklava chocolate chip cheesecake. All these were made in house. (They do have some they don't make there, while they all look incredible, I highly recommend making sure you get something they made.) This orange cake is the thing dreams are made of...very simple, super moist, served warm with a little glazey sauce. Absolutely lovely to finish the meal. We also had a lemon blueberry something (sorry I don't remember the name) that was equally delicious. The baklava cheesecake is absolutely incredible. It's like a chocolate chip cannoli and perfect baklava had a big baby. The slice is huge! The crust is slightly thicker than a usual cheesecake, but that's a good thing because it does come in a little sauce as well so it holds up to that. But as you're enjoying it all, you realize you could just eat that crust as like crust brittle or something and be happy. Next day is just as good. Highly recommend this hidden gem.
We got there and it was seat yourself/order at the counter but then the rest of the experience was table served (like she brought our food and refills, etc) At some point it seemed to have changed to hostess/full table services. Not that that changes anything in the least, just a head up. (Can't...
Read moreI had an absolutely amazing dining experience at Mina & Dimi's Greek House! The flavors and quality of the food were truly outstanding. I decided to try their "Chicken on a Stick" dish, and it was a delightful.
The two skewers of grilled chicken breast were perfectly marinated in a blend of olive oil and lemon pepper, creating a harmonious balance of tangy and savory flavors. Each bite was succulent and tender, a testament to the careful preparation that went into crafting this dish.
Accompanying the chicken were the Greek seasoned fries – and let me tell you, these were no ordinary fries. They were Feta Fries, a flavorful twist on a classic favorite. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, they were sprinkled with that delightful Greek touch of feta, taking the taste to a whole new level.
The side of honey-mustard was the ideal dipping sauce, adding a touch of sweetness and tanginess that elevated the overall taste. And let's not forget the pita bread – a warm and soft companion that completed the ensemble perfectly.
The combination of these elements created a meal that was not only satisfying but also a celebration of authentic Greek flavors. Mina & Dimi's Greek House has truly mastered the art of bringing traditional tastes to life.
The pricing was reasonable, considering the quality and quantity of the meal. From the presentation to the taste, every aspect was top-notch. Whether you're a fan of Greek cuisine or simply looking for a delightful culinary experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Mina & Dimi's Greek House. It's a dining adventure that you won't want to miss! They also have Belly Dancers on Friday’s...
Read moreI am completely blown away with this place! I'm sorry to say this but all other Greek restaurants in San Antonio are dead to me, this place not only has very reasonably priced for, but man! The flavor! Everything is very well done and the opposite from fast food, fresh ingredients, well served plates, the serve Greek coffee! Which is like Turkish coffee, they make it fresh once you order it (see pictures), the fat gyro I had so much meat and was perfectly put together, the pita bread was gourmet and soft but thick, the have a huge variety of cakes the likes of which you will not find anywhere else, like baklava lemon cake ( which I had) boy oh boy! It was to die for! The only feedback I could provide to this place is that the wall on the right side of the lobby is a little too cluttered with notices, decorations, a bubble gum machine, drinks in their plastic wrapping piled up, the aesthetics of the lobby is a vary important part of the dining experience, I would recommend to the owner to tidy up that white wall a little bit (the one parallel to the entrance) , in contrast with That, the wall on the other side of the lobby, that one is aesthetically more pleasing, the one painted Orange, yellow and blue, But all in all this was the best Greek food I've had EVER! and I've lived in 5 different states and tried Greek food in all of them... I am extremely happy I found this place, big kudos to the owner for running such a great...
