Pizza Papi — Restaurant in San Antonio

1.14.25 Unsure how many visits at this point, but my favorite, hands down, is their Hawaiian Pizza. I've gone back to the old 181 place but it's just not Pizza Papi. Hoping they'll eventually put Spinach and Bleu cheese somewhere in their ingredients.. fingers crossed.

Had a pleasant photo op this afternoon. This is the first time I've ever asked any place, any employee, to pose for a photo. Sorry if it's cheesy. I've gotten almost 7 million views overall, I thank you all. Enjoy my first of a kind employee happiness recognition photo!

9.4.24 I've been here maybe 5 to 10 times now. I used to go to a place on 181, they started going downhill and my money walked in over here. To stay. As long as they keep up or improve, they're my new pizza spot. I have yet to have a bad pie or bad service. They're fire no matter what time of day you go. #wheresthebleucheese

TRY THIS PLACE AND SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESS!!!!

Drove from Elmendorf to get their pizza. Worth it. Only ate one slice otw home, too hot and didn't bring napkins. Ate 2 more slices at home. Will be returning. Wanted to try the pineapple Express but they updated their menu an hour or so before I got to order with Alfredo's Affair, Alfredo, mushroom, onion... The cashier was friendly and incredibly attractive, hard to resist a hot pizza from a hot man. Worth the drive, call ahead for your order or wait in your vehicle for it to be freshly made, cooked and boxed. Had the Sucia Special.

2nd time back... 6.23.24... Alfredo's Affair.

The cashier is kind. He's also beyond handsome. They make some serious pies.

I wish they had something for my sweet tooth...

7.5.24 Third time. Double pepperoni with mushrooms and jalapenos and a double pepperoni with pineapple and jalapenos. These guys know how to make some pies! Had several days off for the holiday and was craving their pizza. Woke at dawn and waited until 3pm for them to open. Got 2 pies so I'd have enough leftovers to enjoy for a few days.

YOU MUST TRY THEIR PIZZAS! PERFECT. EVERY. TIME.

8.7.24 They moved! Goliad and SE Military next to the advance auto store. Pepperoni, jalapeno & pineapple. No judgement zone there. Lol Now they're closer to me, may be hitting them up on the weekends a bit more!

8.23.24 Finally tried the meat lovers. Called in for pick up and was ready in 15 minutes. Had the dog with me bc we just left work... Well I guess she thought he was a tool truck and she jumped on the steps and started going inside as we are going back to the truck, pizza perfectly balanced on one hand, her leash in the other. So embarrassing! Lol The pizza of course was incredible!! I normally gross out with sausage, the fennel or something, but this sausage was perfect! No weird taste. Ate 3 slices for dinner, 2 for breakfast and froze the rest for lunch on Monday. Didn't take photos, ate it up!

Finally got to try out Pizza Papi, I live an hour south of San Antonio and was in the area today so stopped by for a quick bite for the road. Maaaaan I had every intention of taking a before pic but it was too damn good 😂 my phone was in my pocket while I was driving and once I took the first bite there was no going back 🤣 Super good, nice crunch and cooked perfect although I might ask for my next pizza to be cooked maybe a minute or 2 longer just for an extra crunch/crisp, but that’s just how I like my pizza. The cashier, I’m assuming is an owner, was real cool and professional and got my pizza out pretty quick the ranch was good too 😎 Great price and perfect for 3 people looking for a snack, or 2 people that are really hungry lol Definitely will come back when I come thru...

Presentation wise these pizzas are beautiful. And I LOVE , LOVE, LOVE, that they are NOT covered in grease.

That being said, I’m giving 3 stars overall because while the pizzas were relatively decent they seem to be lacking in flavor. I’m not sure if it’s the cheese being used or the seasoning ( or lack thereof on the supreme pizza ) but something was off. Like the sausage on the pizza tasted less like sausage and more like meatballs. The crust was my favorite part however . Not sure how they make their dough but it was pretty dam good !

I love pizza. But I love flavorful pizza. While they lacked in flavor just a bit I would absolutely go back and eat here again. The prices are reasonable ($13 for large cheese / $14 large supreme) , and the customer...
