Me and a friend stopped in to eat a late dinner after seeing a movie. I ordered the 3 piece classic chicken combo with Cajun fries and red beans and rice. Included in the combo a biscuit and small drink. My friend ordered the 5 piece classic chicken tenders combo with 2 regular mashed potatoes which came with biscuit and small drink. One female staff worker from Popeyes was on her break when we arrived and placed our orders. We waited for our food for over 30 minutes. I wanted to go and inquire about our meals, but my friend was scared that if we were to say something it would lead to something bad. The cook and the guy that took our order stared at us. Never once asking if they had given us our order? It wasn't until the girl that was on break asked if we had gotten our order? It took a bit longer until we finally got our food. I was very disappointed with the expedition of our food. The quality of the size of the chicken and the fries. The chicken pieces are small. Not much meat in the chicken. As for the taste? It's good. I won't lie. But for the price of the combo there is barely any meat on the bones. The fries were not fresh. They looked like they had been reheated more than once. The red beans and rice was delicious. The biscuits were so good. Soft on the inside and perfect with every bite. I did have to complain about the size of the pieces that were in my order. I was informed that unfortunately that was the size of all the pieces of chicken that was being sold. How unfortunate. I would like to recognize the young woman who was very helpful and kind. Lydia Lopez, was the young woman on break when we arrived. She did her best to resolve the issue of our wait time of our order. Had the size of the chicken been better I would have given a high score. I am generous by giving 3 stars. If it weren't for the crispiness of the coating on the chicken and the taste I would have given it 2 stars. And had it not been for Lydia Lopez I would have given Service 1 star. As for the interior, it was well maintained. Both the eating area and bathroom were clean. Although, there wasn't any ice at the fountain drinks, no napkins, salt and pepper packets and ketchup. I have stopped in at this location before and have not had any issues before. It was very unfortunate that this time I had poor expedition of food. Issue 1:The owner is too cheap & doesn't trust his/her customers to even have napkins, plastic utensil, and sauce packets for them to use. He/she literally hords them back behind the counter. I asked the workers why everything in the lobby was empty and was told the owner keeps them behind the counter!
Issue 2: We sat at the counter and no one was there for 10-15ish min to take our order. Come to find out the one person was in the bathroom (understandable) but the rest of the staff just sat there ignoring the customers lining up. Customer service here was terrible on the rest of the staff just chillin out.
Issue 3: The place was filthy! There was not one spot to sit in the ENTIRE place that didnt have food or trash on it. If they can't even keep the front clean for the customers to sit and eat I can't imagine how utterly disgusting the food prep area and cookers are. Even the parking lot had trash in it.
To the owner & manager of this place... It speaks volumes how clean a place is.. if it's visibly that disgusting in public areas then the work stations where all your customers food is prepared is likely x10 worse! Quit being cheap about your 10cent utincils and napkins. If your worried about people stealing keep them at least on the front counter.
Issue 4: Also not getting a reciept showing everything we bought was an issue as the person I was with thought they got one thing but was served another leaving them feeling cheated on their meal. They talked to the staff about it and my friend just got screwed over they didnt fix it. I ended up sharing half my meal for their mistake. And not getting a reciept to show proof of what was ordered and the cost of it.
To be honest.. I'll never eat here again. The obovious showing from the owner that they don't trust the customers (who keep him/her in business) over napkins and stupid crap they buy in bulk. The fact your staff is too lazy to keep things clean and the huge disconnect between staff communication, bad customer service and getting the wrong meal than what was ordered and both of us customers having to suffer for their mistakes is mind blowing! (The pics don't do justice as well how gross the place was as it kinda blends in, but trust me in person it's gross, you have to wipe your seat off before...
Read moreThis is the worst Popeye's I have ever been to! When I was ordering my food I could tell the person was not paying attention to anything I was saying and I was right! When I drove around to the window, she was outside of the restaurant with her headset sitting in a car with someone and looking at a cell phone. She ran inside and asked me to repeat my entire order because of course she didn't get anything. I repeat my order and she asks me to pull up and she will take it up to me. I am sitting and waiting for about 15 minutes for my food when the person that was behind me and also waiting ran inside and came out with a bag of food, then the employee comes out and looks very confused and asks me again what did I order. I tell her my order and says that the lady behind me took my order!! She tells me that she's just going to add the missing chicken so I ask her if that's going to take long because I had to pick up my daughter from work and she says no. 10 mins later and I'm still waiting so I asked for a full refund but they were so rude about it. You would think the manager would like to make it right or I don't know maybe apologize but no they acted as if I did something wrong. They should really think about hiring friendly efficient people.
