Great food! Tasted authentic! Great selection of Mexican food and drinks. Could of had 5 stars if it hadn't been for the cashier. Rude as can be! Not the owner nor relative, but she works there. I asked her if she was family and she replied with a smirk "sort of" whatever she meant with that. My husband and I stopped by one afternoon about 45 minutes before they closed and immediately she made us feel unwelcome. Maybe it was because we looked all dirty and sweaty. We own a small landscaping business, so we have to work outdoors daily and with this heat there is no way to keep clean and presentable, but anyways if she would of at least tried to be nice like the young lady who opened the exit door for us when we were done, now she was nice and thanked us. My husband was upset that I tipped the cashier when we left. Wanted to so bad to refer this place to some of my clients, but I would hate for them to get treated like that by the cashier. Oh also, no toilet paper in the bathroom. The bathroom is the size of a half...
Read moreWell I've been to hundreds of Mexican restaurants all over the usa as a trucker and just once I'd like to be blown away by the quality. Let's see: the guacamole (2$) was simply unseasoned plain blended watery avocado, the piece of beef for my 8$ plate looked like it had been freezer burned beyond recognition yet I saw him throw the purplish sad looking piece of beef on the grill I gave it to my dog. The chicken on the fajita taco was dry and overcooked. The meat on the chili colorado taco tasted ok but again very dry and definitely not very fresh. The corn tortillas were genuinely the only saving grace here. Even the beans and rice were sub par. Also when you're 150 miles from the border don't put lettuce with your platas. It's sad really because despite what you'd think the mexican food in texas is generally crap. Speaking of crap I'm sure I'll be taking several later, hot fire urinating...
Read moreAt the corner of N. Colorado and West Martin, is a very good restaurant called Regina's Cocina.
It looks like a hole in the wall Cafe that you would think that does not get any business, however though your first impression of the place would be wrong.
I have gone here for Breakfast and Lunch and have had a great experience each time I have gone here. Prices are very affordable (For example I bought 3 bacon egg and cheese tacos and paid $ 7.67. I ordered a Enchalada plate and sweet tea for lunch and paid 9.69 ). Loved the Enchaladas by the way. 😀😀😀
I definitely do Recommend coming to this place if your ever in the area. It does look like a hole in the wall cafe however they wil give you a Better...
