Rios Barbacoa #3 - SE Goliad — Restaurant in San Antonio

First time to this place. Saw it on DoorDash and gave it a try. I picked up and went on Sunday around 9:45AM. I got the combo #2 that has 1 pound of barbacoa, tortillas, salsa and a dozen of tamales. I got the chicharrones which is not included in the combo deal. The total for the combo & chicharrones was $36.52. So it’s around the same as most other barbacoa places. The barbacoa was flavorful and not greasy. I didn’t even need to add salt so it was seasoned well. The red (mildest) salsa was delicious. The tamales were even with masa and meat. This is my go-to spot for barbacoa and cold Big Red. A sweet little family runs it. They're really nice.

The barbacoa and tamales always hit the spot. The avocados are always ripe and ready. The chicharones are a perfect snack. They've got some really yummy menudo also! But, make sure to get there early for the menudo 'cause people buy it...
