We have tried to give this place so many chances but have made the decision to just NOT bring our business here ANY longer. Employees do not take pride in their work so they provide mediocre service. No effort, poor customer service. The pay must not be that good. A good business owner will take care of his employees but I highly doubt that with their employee turnover rate because it is extremely high. First they closed at 2, now several days they are closed but work until three. Now a 20% gratuity is applied for 6 people or more and no splitting of the checks. I would understand that if your service is top notch but for poor service it’s definitely not worth it. In other wards abusing the consumer and obligating us to pay for poor service. That’s a joke. They are ALWAYS understaffed and overworked and always backed up so you are waiting a long time for your food. A long time for your drinks. Their ordering system is so poor it further delays putting your order in. Better off with pen and paper. To check out there is never someone at the register you always have to wait until one of the overworked waitresses to come check you out once she becomes available. Multiple times did we all have our plates but we’re always missing one. One time we ordered tacos as we were on a time frame 45 minutes we never got them and told them we would come back after service we came back they were closed and had our cold soggy tacos in a brown bag just sitting there. Today was my first time eating here , I ordered thru drive thru, my husband wanted Tripas so we decided to give it a try. Prices weren’t on there and when they showed me the total I was in shock. They gave me the receipt & there it showed the prices .They only have Tripas tacos I ordered 2 Tripa tacos for $12 got the huevos rancheros plate for $13 & the Chilaquiles tualucan comes w/ a ribeye steak $20 my total was $50. I was in shock!!! Since the plate with the steak came with a steak I asked for my steak medium rare. My eggs for both plates over easy. I got my order 20 min later . I checked my whole order of course my huevos ranchero had no ranchero sauce the eggs weren’t over easy, not worth $13 that’s just my opinion. The chilaquiles with the steak , the ribeye wasn’t medium rare. I asked for my tripas medium crispy 1 taco was correct the other was soft I let the drive thru guy know and they fixed it . I was missing my tortillas de harina for my orders. Crazy since I was the only car in drive thru but I expected more especially for the price of it all. Oooooohhhh my! Let's begin with advertising. Do you ever go to a restaurant hooked by the signs or ads? You know, "delicious food here", but then are disappointed? NOT HERE. La Única delivered on their promise folks! My family and i frequent the next door spot to get our sweet fix from the fruit stand and i have seen the signs for all these delicious offerings like Caprichosos, La Torta Ahogada, Quesabirria de res y borrego. Yeah dude, we tried them ALL. and no we don't get paid for this, my family just likes good food and my favorite part of visiting new spots is leaving an honest review. The ads outside the restaurant showed all these delicious offerings and we went for it. The Quesabirrias were hot and fresh, the cheese melting in every bite. The beans that came along with our plates had succulent chunks of chicharron with the right amount of spice to make the beans charros, the Caprichosos had bright green avocado indicating it's freshness, and my wife and kids loved every piece, and the torta Ahogada dannnng was perfect.
