We have been here many of times and have never had bad service. My husband and I decided to go have a late breakfast, and we had the worst service ever. New Year's Day we decided to eat here just because a lot of places were closed that day. So we waited a little bit to be asked what we wanted to drink. Finally we received our teas and a bowl of chips. We placed our orders and waited for at least 30 minutes, before we finally asked where our food was at? It was like someone made our food and then set it a side and forgot about us. When we asked, a different waitress finally brought our food out to us. I ordered the Sampler Plate and my sunny side up eggs were way overcooked, my bacon was cold and like rubber, and my hashbrowns were cold. My husband ordered the Ultimate Breakfast and the food was so cold it wouldn't melt the shredded cheese at all. We never could find our waitress after she brought our tea and chips to us. We asked another waitress if she could please get the manager over to our table. I don't believe the lady that came over to help us was the manager. However, we told her we would pay for our teas and bowl of chips, but we refused to eat the food and much less pay for the two meals. She said, "we did not have to pay for anything." So we left everything and the table and left. We left there and went to the same named restaurant closer to where we live by Greenway, and ordered the same two plates and had great service and a hot meal...
Read moreWhen I lived on the southside we use to come here all the time and the food was delicious. On June 18th I was going to Port A for Father's day to meet my family. Decided to take my dog Samson. We went through the drive thru placed my order. 2 beef fajita tacos plain and one Carne Guisada. I was in a hurry to beat traffic so we would eat on the road. As I was feeding my baby the fajita I felt something hard I thought it was fat. No it was a big piece of plastic cooked in the meat. If I would have given that to my Samson or if I had one of my grandkids with me and they didn't know any difference they possibly could have choked on it. I was already on the road about 20 outside of 1604. So I called the restaurant and they said oh its the plastic that covers the meat. Come back and will replace it. Not I'm so sorry let me replace it when you get back in town or this has never happened I will talk to the kitchen staff.I explained that I was already out of town and it was too much to travel back just for one taco. She said well the manager said come back to get it. They were very rude like I inconvenienced them!! I was in Stockwell! I will never eat there again! When we asked for them to remake them, they did....but they came back cold ...again.🤯 So we spoke with a lady and said they would remake them (again).. By this time my appetite is out the door, and I just want to leave. We overhear the next table complaining about the same cold food, being served. The same server as ours, she looks mad took them back. The man and his mom talked to us about the food is usually good...but you have to come on that day. And they laughed. I told them you can't serve cold food in general and expect no one to get sick or notice. The tacos come back...round 3 And they look okay, but are super greasy and rushed. Whatever... Not my choice for tacos or customer service. I'd rather eat at home. When I went to the register to pay no apology, or even asking me how anything was. I moved to put my money away and the man behind me was greeted nicely and asked how his food was. It did give me a chance to look at the kitchen and see how disgusting it is.
