Pobrecita! They have worked this ole gal to death. From the tired carpeting and furniture to the scarred kitchen doors, Sarita's is in dire need of an architectural Botox treatment. Unfortunately it has taken on the tired old demeanor of the rest of the shopping center anchored by an ancient HEB store.

I have come here for many years, though it has been a while, and enjoyed the food today as much as I did then. Well flavored boracho beans, enchiladas stuffed with seasoned beef and smothered with a rich gravy (not the red chile type; more like a rich broth), garlicky rice that was served steaming hot, and a puffy taco that was just as stuffed with beef as were the enchiladas. It was not greasy either. I used my old trick of wrapping the puffy in a fluffy flour tortilla and had no trouble with the splits, an untoward event that often takes place when one tries to eat a puffy and results in a handful of dangling corn masa pieces while the filling tumbles to the plate (or lap if you happen to be so unlucky).

All I can say is I hope the unfastidious appearance of the place is not a bellwether for the manner of management for the kitchen and the food the restaurant serves. The food seemed well prepared and fresh today, but further contemplation of the matter as a whole does give one pause.

The food was delicious and the lunch specials are bargains. However, If the restaurant was remodeled in the not too distant past, all I gotta say is ask for...

Real BAD SERVICE!!! Took Granddaughter in for Mexican food after being in NY for 2 years she was excited! We got there at 6:10 and a Gentleman sat us in center table against the windows. Several other people arrived after us... and they all got their orders in and had chips & salsa as well. So another gentleman saw me trying to get the WAITERS attention ( the Bald waiter - he was at next table) he ignored us _ no Acknowledgement what so ever) and he came over with chips & salsa and said our waiter would be here shortly. I asked him who was our waiter he pointed to the same bald man!!! Well I told him about the wait and how he ignored me and he went to him at bar and next thing I know the other slender Waiter came and asked for our order, Finally I thought we could get out in time to go to our event we had planned, but all the other persons that walked in behind us were being served, we barely got order in - YIKES! Upon exit I mentioned to man who sat us the situation and how I live a stone throw away from this location, but I'd rather go to Fredericksburg Rd. Oh by the way we got out at 7:45 p.m. by the time we got our meal and wolfed it down... THIS WAS MY LAST TIME at that location! This was the third time for opportunity, Not going back there, they should get it right for Good Customer Service the food is good though. But the other location offers Good Service...

Frustrated!! The host and hostess need to have a sign-in sheet. A simple piece of paper and a pen. Write down the names of guests as they enter. Since that didn’t happen and there were a lot of large Christmas groups packed into the lobby, we got passed over twice. We were even standing at the front of the crowd. Hostess asks how many (4 of us), she confirms and says she’s going to clear a table. Male employee walks up points to the group of 4 next to us, asks how many, then takes them to a table. That was the second time. The first time we weren’t positioned at the front of the crowd so we made the adjustment. It happened so fast, and the lobby was very noisy, so we didn’t even get a chance to get the attention of the host. I don’t blame the other guests for knowingly cutting, some people are ugly that way. But Sarita’s dropped the ball. My wife is so angry she has decided that she will never eat their again. We’ve eaten their a ton of times after church. My extended family as well. ...

I came in and was not greeted by anyone at the counter. I was told from a distance to go ahead and have a seat and when I sat down the lady came and asked me what I wanted to drink, But by then I already knew what I wanted to drink and I was ready to order as well. The food came fairly quick and looked amazing. It tasted great as well. I was happy with the meal overall. Although I feel like they lacked in one area, that could have made my experience here that much greater. Customer service, I saw the waitress once when I ordered, second, when she delivered my food. I finished my water and timed to see how long it would take to get a refill. I clocked in over 10 minutes and still had not got a refill. When I ask for the check she said yes as she was walking and continue to walk past me. All in all the food was amazing but the customer service is lacking. Maybe it would be better if you came in a group, But if you go by yourself, hopefully you get better service than I did.

Sarita’s has a beautifully decorated dining room. We visited on a Sunday, and the place was quite empty at the time. The service was friendly and professional. The food was well-seasoned, and most importantly, it was very warm steaming hot warm. Since I ordered “Caldo de Res” it was very important that it was served hot. To enjoy this dish, you start by carefully, sipping the soup and continue with the vegetables and meat slowly, while it’s all hot. My husband ordered a “chicken mole” that hit the right spot. And his opinion, this dish was authentically and traditional in flavor. I need to mention the rice, the Mexican rice was cooked and seasoned in a most delicious way. This kind of rice is one that you enjoy by itself. It is customary that rice accompany most, if not all, main dishes in Mexican cuisine. This rice could stand by itself and leave you satisfied in flavor and texture. Most definitely I recommend that you visit Sarita’s and your next culinary adventure.

This place was on our list to try and I am glad we did. It is very spacious, well decorated and impeccably clean! The food arrived quickly and our order was accurate. We got the shrimp tacos and mole enchiladas. Both were very tasty and the mole had the right amount of spiciness. Not sure who our waiter was but thoroughly impressed with his ability to take orders from multiple tables without writing them down and getting them all 100 accurate. Also, it was clear there were many regulars dining there. This speaks volumes to their reputation. IF I were going to find something to complain about, it would be the dinner price of entrees but inflation isn’t a myth. Everyone is feeling the sting of most everything costing 30% more. We’ll definitely be back to try breakfast.
