Schlotzsky's — Restaurant in San Antonio

This is for today's visit only. Usually when I go, it's fine.

The manager or owner or whoever she is with the glasses was extremely rude and unprofessional today. I arrived about 5 minutes before my order pickup time. At 12:56, I approached the counter to make sure that my order was received because the restaurant had cleared out and I still didn't have my order that I ordered online at 11:10am for 12:45 pickup. I simply asked the lady if they had my order that I ordered online a couple hours ago and showed her my phone.I told this lady that I was just making sure they had my order as it might have gotten taken by someone else, etc. She became extremely rude and said, "Your order is 6 minutes late. You can see its busy in here." and she walked off. My husband was on the phone with me and heard it all. Her coworker was approaching the counter with a face of shock. She was so rude and unprofessional. I'm going to cut her slack that maybe someone before me gave her a hard time and she took it out on me. Perhaps she assumed because I'm Black that I was going to have an attitude, but I was simply asking to confirm my order to make sure it didn't get lost in the shuffle. I even waited until the place cleared out. Praise the Lord, I'm cool and calm because that could have been blown into a heated scene with the old me. Someone give her a break. Merry Christmas and...

I would give this location a higher rating, however the customer service is lacking. One particular worker tends to have an attitude whenever my husband & I have gone in there. The first time it was towards the evening & he didn't want to make anything that wasn't ready available so we were cool about it. I understand, it's near closing time so we shrugged it off. The second time I encountered this worker, he had a attitude again & when I asked him if he was having a rough day, he said that he was annoyed 'cause someone had ordered all these sandwiches & they barely opened up! Just right now as I'm writing this, I placed a phone order & the same worker answered the phone to take my order & yet again, had the attitude. I use to work fast food so I get it that customers can sometimes become overwhelming, but one thing I learned quick is not to treat the customers who aren't being difficult with you as they're a bother to you. In the end, no one made him choose this job & when working in the food industry, one must be prepared to deal with ALL types of customers. Thank you Cassie at this location. The app was acting up and crazy 🤪 and she was able to get me through it. We came for sandwiches and then ended up ordering 🍕 pizzas. Just so you know, the pizza's are BOGO on Wednesday's. We ordered the "meaty" pizza and got the double pepperoni and cheese for free. Download the app if you haven't done so. It gives out free stuff. Also, if you forget, you can still redeem your points by scanning the receipt. (Cassie told me that.) The pizza's were stout and very good, see the pictured. I was leary initially about the sourdough, but man, it really worked and it gave it a whole new texture and flavor. Very satisfied with the pizza's and our kids ain't them right up!!
