Starbucks — Restaurant in San Antonio

I come here very often and today’s visit just really was poor. I walked in and no welcome. Yes the drive through was fairly busy. It was misty outside. However I work in customer service at the mall across the parking lot. I get to the counter after the next customer and the girl who was working on. April 6 at 1130 with purple braids was unprofessional. You don’t finish with a customer and then the phone rings regarding what sounded like a web order take their order with out having the decency to let the customer(ME) who WAS next before that phone call that you would be right with them. I understand this is a new establishment and seemed they were short staffed for today’s traffic but this girl very much appeared to have not liked her job today. Another little girl ended up seeing 5 people in line including me and took everyone’s order. I did address tell her “Thank you for that” (assisting me) and explained the issue and she herself said I totally understand. I am sorry about that. I had purchased a tumbler from this location a few weeks ago. I finally used it today and realized the lid doesn't stay closed. I stopped by the Starbucks and spoke to the manager who stated that without a receipt he could not do anything about it. I advised him I was requesting a refund I simply wanted to swap it out for a working tumbler with a lid that actually stayed closed. He still refused to even exchange it. He instead said that the conversation was good in circles and that there was nothing he could do per store manager direction. His condescending tone and constant blank stare at us was enough to make me want to just over the counter. I should have made a review long before now but having just visited another Starbucks with subpar service I decided I definitely needed to give kudos to the BEST Starbucks in San Antonio.

I would come by nearly every morning before work (recently moved to converse) and Chris worked the drive thru. SO FRIENDLY! You could tell he genuinely liked his job and cared about the customers. The staff inside are equally amazing! I would get these random “have a great day Keisha” messages on my cup which really made my mornings. Especially if it had started out rough.
