Nestled close to the Zoo and Pearl area, Summer Moon Coffee is more than just a coffee stopâitâs a place you actually want to spend time in. The atmosphere strikes a great balance between cozy and spacious, with plenty of seating options for groups, solo work sessions, or just catching up with a friend. Thatâs one of the reasons weâve made it our spot for weekly work meetingsâit never feels cramped, and thereâs always enough room to spread out comfortably.
The coffee itself is where Summer Moon really shines. Their menu is creative and full of unique options you wonât find at the big chains. Every drink has a smooth, rich flavor that makes Starbucks taste like a backup option in comparison. My personal go-to is the Quarter Moon with an extra shotâperfectly balanced, bold, and with just the right kick to fuel a busy day.
The staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, which adds to the warm vibe of the place. Whether youâre grabbing a quick cup or settling in for a few hours, you feel like youâre in a space designed for community and connection. If youâre in the area and want coffee thatâs genuinely a step above, Summer Moon is absolutely...
Read moreThis Summer Moon is located at the tripoint and shares its space with a church and the ymca gym. Overall, the area is great. If youre stopping by looking for a place to work on your laptop, Summer moon has tables, couches and plenty of seating near outlets. Combine that with their delicious coffee and a sweet toaster pastry, and youre winning at life. There is also more comfortable seating outside of the coffee shop while still inside the tripoint building. Drive thru: The drive thru gets pretty packed in the mornings, as expected. They are very quick at the window and have always been respectful and clear at both the order mic and the window. Food & Drink: moon milk is just magic! While moon milk does not come in the sugar free version, you can get your drinks made with other sugar free options. They also serve a array of delicious home made pastries like toaster pastries, muffins, scones, and cinnamon rolls. Overall great place to grab a coffee and hang out, or zip through...
Read moreThe coffee itself isnât terrible, but they awkwardly stick their iPad in your face for a tip⊠in the drive through. Which, ok, the owners donât want to pay their employees livable wages - but if you are going to essentially force people to tip, donât make the minimum tip higher than 10% of the cost of my 4 dollar shot of espresso.
On top of it, you have to pay extra if you ask for lighter ice. Yes, they charge you for about a shot of whatever milk you are already paying for.
If the owner is reading this, these things are tasteless. And for those wondering, thereâs much better coffee shops in the area! Such as Graves, and commonwealth. Summermoon would be my favorite if they didnât do these things. I finally wrote this after a few years of them sticking an iPad in my face for a $3-4$ shot of espresso lol.
Itâs tacky and Iâve decided I will be pressing âno tipâ from here on out unless I order some...
