UPDATED REVIEW: brought down to 1 star from 5. Unfortunately Big Foot has moved in upstairs and I can hear stomping. Every hour. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
If you are a light sleeper or enjoy any moments of peace and quiet - this is not the apartment complex for you.
I can hear the vacuum at 2am, walking, the shower, jumping around, running a marathon, and whatever else all loud upstairs neighbors do regardless of the hour. If youāre thinking āOkay Iāll just wear earplugs at night no biggieā THINK AGAIN. My noise machine, humidifier, fan, and earplugs have not blessed me with more than 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep since itās not just noise- any movement causes the entire room to reverberate. You can feel the chaos erupting upstairs from the comfort of your own bed or sofa! Iāve quite literally been paying an insane amount of rent to be absolutely miserable and tortured every time I walk into my apartment.
Unfortunately this is not a one off case, all the residents Iāve spoken to at events complain about the noise from either the highway or their upstairs neighbors. BUT If youāve made it this far and youāre STILL debating touring here and thinking āoh Iām sure itās not that badā make sure you go after 5pm so you can really feel what it will be like.
T-2 months until Iām free from this prison sentence. Save yourself the years taken off my life from lack of sleep and choose a different place to live.
To start off, I chose tin top because of the amazing reviews left by other residents. Iām happy to say, they did not disappoint. Tin Top is by far the best place to live in San Antonio!
The office staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. There are fun community activities almost every other week. The biggest part for me is how incredible the maintenance staff is. They are so quick to respond to an issue, clean up, and are just friendly guys.
Best apartment complex Iāve ever lived in, itās honestly better than a hotel! The amenities are great, the gym is 24/7, ample work space/hosting spots. Only downside is pool doesnāt open until 10, I hope they eventually move the hours to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdated May 9th, 2025: Iāve lived here for over a year now and renewed my lease. Iām located in a 2 bedroom. Place remains quiet, clean, bug-free, and everyone keeps to themselves. They were extremely fare on the very minimal rent increase. All I wrote below still remains accurate. I love living here and canāt even think about moving. I will say lock your car because my car did get broken into because I left it unlocked. Iām from Houston and used to people breaking windows when they break in a car so this was honestly not a big deal for me. Just lock your car. Car break-ins happen everywhere so I donāt blame the apartment for that. If youāre looking for an apartment with professional tenants, this is the place for you. āāāāāāāāāā Iāve lived here for about 7 months now. I really love this complex and the best one Iāve ever stayed at. Things that I look for and you will get here is: 1.) safety- key fob access to enter building and to go up and down the elevators 2.) Cleanliness- large clean gym, stairwells and halls kept really clean, no cups/cans around pool 3.) Top notch maintenance- very quick and attentive maintenance who actually fixes things in a timely manner 4.) Quiet complex ( I am facing Ashby place) 5.) I havenāt had any issues with any dogs and Iāve been in the elevator with many and all are on leashes. Thereās also stairwells at every elevator so you can avoid other dogs if you have one. 6.) Awesome finishes in apartment. The appliances are name brand and itās nice there is no carpet. I rarely hear my neighbors above me in a 2 bedroom. 7.) the people living here keep to themselves and are also very friendly. 8.) plenty of parking spaces in the garage and guests park on the street. Sometimes that can get a little tricky for guests but itās better than living here and not getting a spot in the garage.
I HIGHLY recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would leave 0āļø if I could. My roommate and I have been living in this complex for almost a year now.
I am constantly being told I have too much plugged in. Even after I moved things to differentĀ outlets and turned off power strips.
The washer and dryer should not be on the same circuit with the living room.Ā I should be able to run the dryer AND use my Playstation. I should not have to sit around with no electronics turned on just to do laundry.
I should be able to plug the vacuum cleaner in the living room with the ceiling lights turned on.
I should be able to turn on my PC during the day without the breaker beingĀ shut off.
I should NOT have to unplug items that are turned off (i.e., the TV) and turn off the ceiling fan to turn on my plant light.
This morning, nothing was turned on. Not even the ceiling light or the ceiling fan when my roommate booted up the PC. He tried 6 times in a row, and the breaker flipped each time.
This is not ok.
We have moved the PC. I have stopped using my steam cleaner and my vacuum. I can not do laundry and have anything else turned on. Still, the breakers flip. It's random, and there is no rhyme or reason behind it. We spoke constantly with the previous manager about our issues. The new manager has not even acknowledged our complaints.
Moreover, there is mold in the bathroom where water leaks onto the drywall and baseboard. When I attempted to clean the drywall, it just deteriorated. The flooring where the water leaks is warped. The walls on both sides of the shower are like this, but much worse now.
Do not recommend it. Especially...
