I’ve been eating at Taco Cabana for over 30 years, and it is one of my staples. There have been great experiences and poor ones. NOTHING, has ever come close to the bottom-of-the-barrel experience I had this evening at this location. The list was numerous, but a few things that stood out: 1) multiple orders were made under the same table number, at least twice while I was there. This caused a great deal of confusion and frustration with customers, but the staff were hostile and rude…apparently unable to accept the error; 2) after going through 4 separate sodas that were out of syrup, and finding the canister labeled sweet tea was in fact unsweetened. When I spoke to the gentleman behind the serving counter, his response was “hey, I’m only one guy”. I wasn’t asking him to drop what he was doing and go fix it, just making him aware so that a manager or colleague could attend to it when possible; and 3) it was obvious by the mess that the bathroom hadn’t been attended to once since the days’ opening (writing this at 8:45p) and from the smell, that there had not been soap added to the water when mopping (if mopped at all) for a long time, as the scent of urine permeated every ounce of air. Read moreMe and my boss stopped here for lunch a few months back. We went through the drive through and ordered our meals and drove up to the window to pay. The young lady, Alicia, I believe her name was, was excellent on drive thru, excellent communication, very pleasant attitude, great over the speaker, we never felt rushed or anything, and she made sure our order was correct and that we had everything we needed.
It stood out to me because I have worked drive thru before, and have actually worked at Taco Cabana before as well, and she is absolutely the type of employee that is hard to find and that you want working for you. I can't tell you how many times I've been through a drive thru and you can hear in the voice of the employee behind the speaker that they don't want to be there, don't enjoy what they're doing, and could care less if you are happy with you meal, and can even be rude to you sometimes.
So I wanted to write something here in the reviews because I feel that excellent customer service like Alicia displayed is worth acknowledging, recognizing and celebrating.

Read moreWorst customer service ever. Specifically Rosalyn the lady who took and prepared our order was so rude at the speaker to begin and at the window. Of course when we got home our order was incorrect and missing items. When I called they say no problem come in we’ll have that fixed. When I get there they try to give me one thing that was wrong. I remind them no I was also missing food with an incorrect item. So they send “Rosalyn” to speak with me and she tries to argue with me telling me she put it in the bag. There is no need to argue with a customer like it’s that big of an issue in the first place. While also giving angry looks and grunts and putting her hand over her head like it was so frustrating because you didn’t do your job correctly. It’s fast food it’s not that hard or serious. She was all over the place. She needs an attitude adjustment and needs to be in the back instead of dealing with customers because she obviously doesn’t have the right skills it takes to do...
