Few areas to choose to hang or eat. both in and out door seating. Both in and out door bar. Live music, and both traditional and vegan menus. We've been back a few times for the Vegan Super Nachos and fish tacos. Times are tight so we don't get to drop by as often as we'd like but when we need to get out after a long day at work The Cove is a nice place to relax and unwind.

Update 7/19 we haven't been by in a while because the meal can get expensive. But I had some overtime, and we needed to get out. I'm glad we went because I missed that Good'a Burger and the Vegan Nachos. But as well Bob Ram was awesome and very entertaining. Thanks for the good time.

12/7/23, again, we haven't been in a while because prices here are rising. We've understood that, more than likely, it's because of the economy. We missed the place, so we dropped in. To our surprise, there was remodeling done and new menu prices. I almost chose to try the Blue Bison again until I saw the price. My girl was offering since I always get us, and I couldn't do it. I had an order of sweet potato fries and shared the Vegan Nachos with her while she enjoyed herself a burger. Then come to find our favorite in door area is now wide open with roll up doors. The stage was quiet, unfortunately. Because we're in a shaded area with open doors, some mosquitos made their way in from outside and bit me several times on my arm while eating. This took away my focus from enjoying my food and just put a cap on the experience. We moved closer to the roll-up doors and saw the mosquitos following, so we just went ahead and left. Sadly, we probably won't be back for a good while. Ps I hate to do this, but after this last experience, I have to change my...

Hands down, one of the most disappointing customer service experiences I have ever encountered at a restaurant. Half of our party received food 30 min before the second half. They finished their meal before the second half received their food. We questioned the food runner on multiple occasions and then eventually asked for the manager. He was terrible…rude, dismissive. Because part of our party had GF burgers (Celiac) and the other half had regular, they are prepared separately (which we appreciate!!) but the GF food line was way ahead of the regular and they held back all the food until all is ready. The manager asked if we had been told they were on a 45 delay in getting food out when we ordered. We had not and if we had we would have chose another restaurant or been expecting the delay. Instead of telling us how much time was left on the order, he refunded our money. We asked to pay for the GF items that were ready bc the kids were starving and he said no, I’ve refunded your money….no receipt to verify the refund, just “I’ve refunded your money”. Worst part was we tipped $18 in advance when we ordered at the counter….did that get refunded, who knows bc we never got a refund receipt. Unacceptable. We will never done at this establishment again. There are so many other incredible local owned restaurant in San...

1.5 stars is all my experience warrants. Where to start? The wait was RIDICULOUS. Disorganized, unwelcoming, and long. We started our wait at 6, got to the order deak at 7:13 (where you must tip BEFORE seeing the service you're tipping for), sat down at 7:30, order didn't arrive until 9:00 (yes an hour and a half), it was WRONG and delivered (in 2 parts... two meals, then 2 more for our party of 4... 20 minutes apart) by a bearded female (not even kidding, a full and unkempt face of hair with breasts) that had difficulty grasping the concept of "ranch on the side", left immediately after eating at 9:45. The meal was typical. Nothing to write home about. Far too salty, and all ala cartel. $13 burger ($18 for bison and it was terrible), $5 fries, $5 soda, $6 12oz beer. Multiply by 4 and add the tip... easily over $100. The drink menu online is NOT accurate at all. Don't go if variety is.your thing. They don't carry half of what they advertise. I dont mind paying for food food and service, but it should be good food and service. This was our 1st time there. It will be the last. San Antonio is BIG. The choices are plentiful. Places like this should remember that. A CLEAN place.with good food and service should be the NORM, not...

A very unfortunate update. After visiting the cove several times over the last 7 years, my family has had a very bad experience. I understand the prices will rise as the cost of ingredients does, however, my burger was half the size, and tasted pre-shaped and frozen. The comparison photo will say it all. My kids aid the Whataburger across the street would have been better. This feels like such a loss. I don't know what happened, or why it happened, but this is so disappointing. The Cove is a family favorite! Serving up SOL food (sustainable, organic, local) in a highly upbeat atmosphere. There are misters and fans outside for the hotter days, heating posts for the colder days, a playground, a beer garden, full bar, and even a car wash. I have never had anything I didn't like. But the fave for me is the Blue Bison burger with sweet potato fries. There are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, dessert options, and the soda fountain has primarily Stubborn soda co. There is a schedule for live music, AND it is dog friendly. Highly reccomend giving this place a shot.
