The Palace Men's Club — Restaurant in San Antonio

Very classy, for around twenty years. Was shotgun willie's and the bank or the vault before the Palace. Beautiful establishment with the most gorgeous girls that were extremely classy, as well as the waitresses bartenders and the greek owners. I know it sounds like old man syndrome. stopped in recently, and it's no longer classy. The days gallivanting upstairs in vip with everyone on there best behavior, escaping reality ...still enjoying the beautiful banter n of course the beautiful women each with gorgeous looks and well defined specific personalities, was peace of mind combined with not giving a sheet about the outside world for a few hours.

N watching the spurs game one night up in VIP with Tony Parker... when tony parker was injured n was supposed to be home recuperating. He was commenting in real time about the game he is not playing in due to injury. Classic! Many times there was such camaraderie with the women n the staff n the men. Sounds corny, but it was kinda like a dysfunctional family that had ties deeper then the show me your teets crowd. Definitely has changed into an unsophisticated "show me the money n buy me drink ...because if you don't, I ain't "wasting my time with you " obviously there was lots of money given ( straight up earned be the staff n the intriguing women). But it was a sophisticated dance with respect all around.

Now, it Seems more like an environment of a dumbed down group of...loud talking... money first... with zero interest in the client. Similar to many scenes in the movie idiocrocy n Chappelle's Internet skit...

Was discriminated against for being overweight by their standards. I have previously worked there for years and before working as a dancer I was a waitress for them. I had not been in a while due to personal reasons and when LAZ (The general manager) saw me, he asked if the reason I hadn't been back was because I gained weight. I said no, I had done it purposely because I was an unhealthy weight the first time I worked there. He then proceeded to tell me that if I wanted to work there I needed to lose weight. Then he tried to cover it by saying that I wouldn't make any money working there. That's probably not the best thing to tell a person who previously had an eating disorder and worked to get past it. They would probably encourage you to do coke instead of eat. He's right, I probably wouldn't make money there...but not because of that. This place is a prostitution ring and I shouldn't have even tried to go back in the first place. They fired everyone I know. Be cautious!! Better to check out another place like SCARLETTS!!! Also make sure you watch your tab here, some of the waitresses will start putting shots for everyone on your card without even telling you!! They take extra, tip themselves, you name it! As soon as you hand them your card be ready for a bunch of random charges for stuff you didn't order. I've seen it happen so many times and some people don't even notice they are being taken advantage...

This place is a front for prostitution. I went to the club on a Wednesday afternoon in November for the first time. This club was disgusting. The one stage dancer was a too skinny druggie type with zero appeal. I chose to watch ESPN over her dancing. The only other dancer there walking the floor (much like a hooker walking the streets) came up behind me and asked if I wanted a dance. I accepted before getting a good look. My mistake. I was severely disappointed. When she got in front of me, she was fat, blocky and boring (not to mention the teeth). All I can say is I am glad it was dark in that particular dance area (I was embarrassed to be seen with that). When she moved in close, the BO almost killed me. I guess my displeasure and lack of interest was visible due to the fact I kept looking for the nearest exit route, so in what must have been an attempt to get drug money, she actually pulled my shorts down and put it in her mouth. I stupidly wore basketball shorts like I wear everyday. I've never been so disgusted in my life. I quickly pushed her off and tried to get the std images out of my head. I'll say it again, this place is a front for prostitution. If the cops were doing their jobs, they would bust this place. I'll never be visiting a place...
