Not sure if the prices are accurate on here because after ordering only the vegetable spring roll, 8.95 Coconut shrimp 12.95 Pineapple chicken and rice 16.95 salt and pepper pork 17.95 fried banana ice cream 10.95×3 And a vegetable dish 17.95, Our bill came to $141+ They originally charged us for Mongolian beef which we DID order but never received and made like they'd removed it from the bill (I didn't unfortunately notice whether the price had actually changed, but $141 was the final amount - this is without drinks nor tips, yet - they got 18%, totally $166+). I came to get dinner here because there didn't appear to be any horribly negative reviews, but I'm a bit wary now from my own experience. By the way, I was trying to be polite when I noticed the waitstaff appeared to be eating, so I didn't ask for the Mongolian beef they'd forgotten and also didn't bother to order more of a few appetizers my party enjoyed because of observing this. It was a bit strange that a hostess(?) told me she didn't work there and yet she seemed to be the primary one serving us and even checking on how were doing [before she settled down to eat/hang out with the (other) staff]. And finally, before we'd finished eating the main course food, it was cleared away. Granted I'd already ordered dessert, since an alternate waitress asked my mom if she wanted dessert (right after I asked for a second helping for coconut shrimp, which was basically ignored, but smoothly bypassed by this waitress when my mother's interest in the opportunity for dessert was piqued). Still this seemed like rushed service, like a way to get us out the door...
Read moreStephanie and Harry that run this place make this place feel like a family friend inviting you to their home for a delicious home cooked meal! The customer service we recieved was bar none the best attentiveness in a long time. They are hard working and provide such delicious eats up until 1am in the San Bruno area! Across the street from Artichoke Joe's and they also have a full bar available and I didn't go in the back but also saw a pool table. We went back 2 days later to try more food and it didn't disappoint. The chicken wings were super tender and juicy. The green papaya salad was refreshing served with some chicharones which was amazing! Green curry with chicken and House Special prawns were so flavorful. Next visit we came in for the Pho and Spicy beef brisket noodle soup. They were both so good and I love that it is a great option for a sit down meal up until 1am in the area that doesn't require me to go into the casino. Great find and love supporting hard...
Read moreI had chili crab and lobster tails by myself. Chili crab was awesome, fresh and sauce was good too, similar to what Ive been having in Singapore. Lobster wasnt very fresh and the sauce was extremely salty (I asked to customize so their normal lobster dish can be different) Overall, the food was nice. But the staff pushed me for a tip, and being taught that I have to tip as in US. Well, so far, no other restaurants in US have been taught me and forced me to pay the tip. Living in EU for over 8 years, tip is not supposed to be forced, especially when a single person paid over 99 dollars. I also double checked with American friends in SFO. I had to spend 20 usd to get there from my hotel, spent 100 usd for food. But I feel very bad now for that tip. This made my whole experience with them bad. The crab was, again, very good. I was thinking to go there again tomorrow after tasting crab even tho I didnt like lobster, but after this tip thing, I don’t think I would go...
