Placed a scheduled delivery time 6:30pm - 7:00pm through Uber Eats at 4:30pm on a Wednesday. It’s 8pm now and my order was cancelled by the restaurant. Even previous orders if I call in for pick up it’s more of a 25 minute wait but when I went to pick up I stood at the doorway watching what I thought is the waitress punching orders into the her iPad for about 8 minutes until one of the chefs acknowledged my presence (covid times and I was the only one there). My order was already good to go on the table but when I came home it was a little cold. Back to my most recent order - if you can’t do app orders then don’t offer it. I don’t think this was Uber Eats fault as only restaurants can cancel an order and I tracked the driver who was in front of that restaurant for an hour (he was the second driver as the first one picking up my order wisely decided to not do it). However something definitely got missed as this was a SCHEDULED order. I feel like this place selective chooses which orders they want to prioritize as I was told by the same waitress 3 years ago to call in orders as apps take a cut. Fine, I would have gladly called in my order but I received an Uber Eats gift card for the holidays and I will use it. It sucks as I really liked this place, it’s close me and I want to support small business and but I will not be ordering...
Read moreA favorite sushi place among locals. I’ve been going here for over 10 years from the previous owners to the new owners. It’s one of those hidden gems that visitors don’t know about. It’s perfect if you have just flown in from SFO airport or are waiting to catch a flight. It’s very easy to catch a ride share to the airport as well from here. Also just down the street is a great Kava Bar about a block away that goes well for relaxing afterwards. From local residents to public works employees and city officials, you can’t go wrong going here for your favorite sushi restaurant whether it’s your work lunch break, your day off, or getting ready to go out on the town. My favorite dishes are Hamachi Toro, Saki Toro, and the I9. Deep fried spicy tuna roll that the former owners new as “The Christos roll” because I asked the owner to make it from a similar role I had elsewhere and would order it six days a week and got all of my friends and family hooked on it! (FYI, I am not affiliated with the business and I’m just a very appreciative customer) Tell the owner, Jason, you saw A review on Google by Christos and do you will get the same service as if you didn’t, a great value for sushi in...
Read moreGot the lunch special after trying to decide out of the plentiful selection on the menu. Chose the teriyaki chicken and California rolls, because classic fare is easy to judge. The chicken was good. Not Amazing, not terrible, but could have used a bit more smokey flavor and a bit longer of a marination if any was used. The CA rolls used crab salad instead of imitation crab, so that knocked a star off for me, but if you like it, this place has it down. The total was $10.84, but credit card usage is a $15 minimum, so cash on hand helped me. The to-go menu varies slightly from the sit down menu, so make sure you ask for the sit down if you come in for a to go order. The edamame was not salted, but I prefer that, and the miso was a bit bland. Overall, I would come to this place in a pinch, but I wouldn't bring anyone here. The food is palatable, the service is excellent. It's run of the mill, which is...
