Yes it is true this place is open durring the pandemic. They have hand sanitizers out for you to use and the chefs are visible at all times while cooking and you can see they keep their masks on. As soon as we walked in everyone said hello and asked, "Table for 3?"
As most said it was pretty empty as far as people dinning in which was great for our family of three plus me being pregnant. However, they did get quite a few order pick ups while we were there. We loved watching the Bollywood music videos as well.
The food was very good! One of the cooks came out and spoke to us, asked how the food is, and explained some of the native information behind what we were eating and how popular they are in India which we very much appreciated. It touched my husband's heart for him to share that information.
We were there a few days ago and ordered for the table as usual. Pardon my pregnancy brain for not taking pictures. However, we always order mango drink when eating Indian food and this one was just as good as expected. We also ordered the Samosas, which came with the traditianal red and green chutney. The red was perfectly sweet as expected and the green was the spicey kick if you just wanted a little something extra. For our main courses we had the Aloo Mutter (a veggie curry dish), Jalfrazi with chicken and mixed veggies, galic Naan, Basmati (which was a beautifully colored and aromatic rice), and Rasmali for desert (this is an aquired taste for sure). The spice was a perfect amount; just enough to give good flavor but not over power the spice palate.
My baby loves Indian food this pregnancy. So, the good balance of spice was perfect. I could eat as much as she could stand without too much spice and I didnt get any heart burn.
We were full for hours as well, which is great because usually I have to eat every 2 hours but this meal was perfect and kept my baby happy for a while. We could even see her dancing while I was eating so she totally approved.
I am used to seeing Indian dishes served in small metal bowls but this place used pretty white ceramics which make the colors in the food stand out even more. If we are ever in town again we will...
Read moreThis place is amazing! I’ve come to this place for dinner back to back for two days straight. First the staff is very kind, especially our waitress. She would come and check on me from time to time throughout my meal and asked if I needed anything else. I had ordered quite a bit of food for myself, it was so delicious that I finished most of it. I had ordered the vegetable samosas, fried chicken wings, potato coconut curry, garlic naan, lamb and beef seekh kabab, lamb biryani, rice pudding (kheer), gulab jamun, and two orange sodas. Off the bat the vegetable samosas we so buttery and flaky and the filling was perfectly seasoned with just a very tiny bit of spice. The lamb and beef seekh kabab were also very well seasoned and could stand alone as it’s own dish or be paired with others without an overwhelming taste in my opinion. I absolutely loved the lamb biryani it’s probably was the best one I’ve ever had, and I can be picky when it comes to certain foods especially lamb. My favorite dishes by far we the fried chicken wings, potato coconut curry and the naan. The chicken wings we very crispy and had very good flavor. It’s a bit on the salty side, but it is by far the best chicken wings I’ve had in a very long time. Next I had the potato coconut curry which is so delicious, it’s a sweeter curry due the coconut milk but it was a nice contrast to the chicken wings. There’s not much more to say about the about the food, but the naan as well as the kheer were delicious. The gulab jamun was good but can be a tad too sweet for most people. Over all this place offers so much to love, they have something for everyone literally (meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans). I will be back very soon! Thank you so much to the wonderful staff at...
Read moreWe were in the area and happened upon Noori by accident. It was a bit confusing that two restaurants are running from the same location but we didn’t have any pizza we only had the Indian food.
I consider myself a bit of an Indian food snob having tried many different restaurants over the years. You can usually tell the quality of a restaurant by its basics - in this case we tried the samosas, byryani rice, naan, and mango lassi along with other dishes.
The samosas were surprisingly well cooked and spiced nicely. With a bit of a cinnamon-y kick. The veggies in the byryani were fresh and cooked right - not mushy - which most restaurants get wrong. Rice tasted fresh. The mango lassi tasted fresh and was not too sweet and not too creamy but a nice balance. The naan was nice and fresh also. We also had the lentil soup which was good.
For main dish we had tikka masala paneer which was also spiced perfectly (asked for medium spicy). And the paneer was a good consistency. The basmati rice was also cooked well and tasted fresh.
I would definitely go back here. It was a bit of a surprise then and have high expectations for next time.
