Ill never eat there again. Placed an online order to wait almost two hours to get a call from a woman who didn't speak english well begging me to come pick my order up because their driver called in sick. This happened July 2018 where I myself was taking it easy due to having surgery days before. I dont drive, so used my power chair to get there and brought my kids to help carry the food. Whe're only 4 blocks from the resturant. Got there to find nothing done. Was during dinner rush. Found out all to soon the reason why. I only do take out with them because last time I ate there, there was a $20 price difference to be told prices went up and they didn't get new menues in yet. This time around, I showed my phone to her with the completed order. She wrote everything down and gave the order to tbe cook. She came back, took my credit card to run it to end up telling me it was declined. I set up multiple accounts and use the debit cards associated with them for specific orders. These accounts have no overdrafts and I transfer over the final amount. This helps a lot with online purchases or stores that tend to add hidden fees or tips after you leave, or after an order is placed. Try charging more, it will get declined. When I placed the order origionally online, I not only included a $10 tip for the driver we know who loves my kids and is very friendly, I also included their standard $1.75 credit card fee. Fact it got declined, meant this woman who speaks poor english tried charging more. Figured it was only a few dollars until I saw the difference was almost $100.00 more! First excuse was price change and that they didnt get the online menu updated. This was BS because their system I ordered from was their own server, located at the resturant. They had plenty of time to fix it. Menu was actually updated a few weeks prior, with coupons that get deducted at check out. Next came the excuse those prices are online only and that Im required to bring the coupons in. This is where I start getting pretty loud because there is no way Im going to pay $100 more. I reminded her, it was she who called me begging that I come in because she had no driver, and that she took the same info off my phone and said nothing when writing up the order again for the cook. I told her had she not canceled my online order in the first place, she most likely would have had whatever it was she required. She told me as long as I came in, and didnt have the coupons, I had to pay the higher price. Some of the customers near by started yelling at her as well who heard everything. I told her to either fix the incorrect prices or Im not going to buy anything! My daughter begged me to at least buy the chocolate cake slices from the display case if we were going to cancel the dinner order. After the woman said she would not, I told her Ill only buy the cake slices. I felt bad for the customers waiting at their tables during dinner rush because this woman was supposed to be serving them as well and she was wasting time arguing with me. There was no other waitress. I could see containers by the cook that I assumed was my order. After telling the woman Im taking the cake only, she nods to the cook which I assumed meant to stop making our food. It wasnt till a child watching everything going on between me and this woman yells out quite loudly, "eewwww, they spit in the food!" I was shocked. I knew most of the staff for years except the woman and cook.I made my daughter put the unopened cake down and left, which was not easy in a power chair. This was because a lot of tables who heard the whole thing got up and either left the back exit, or side which I was trying to get through myself with my kids. Outside people were leaving while others were coming up the walkway, which didn't last long because the same kid who yelled the warning in the first place was now outside, repeating what he saw over and over like a child who says a bad word and keeps repeating it because hes getting attention for it. They lost my business and many...

My friends came from Canada to visit me and I wanted to take them to a non-fast food mexican restaurant, so we went here.
Let's talk about the food, we ordered some burritos, some enchiladas, some tacos and some of their "famous California fries". The shrimp burrito was bland, the chicken burritos, according to my friends, was nasty. They tried the nachos and the cheese tasted wierd. I got the fries. The fries were horrible, they tasted metallic, as if they hadn't changed the oil in ages. The fish also had the same taste. We had two shrimp orders, they both had those small little orange colored fake shrimps that were gross. We ate it because we were starving. After leaving and going home, 2 of my friends threw up a bit. We took the food that we didn't want, which was most of it because I felt they would reuse it and serve it to someone else (I think that's there the fries and fish were from, a previous order).
Service was ok, awkward mostly to be honest because there was only one person, who seemed to be the owner, and she had to deal with waiting tables as well as dealing with delivery drivers and phone calls. At the end, she charged us a 20% tip even though she had not let us know before this. (I was going to give 15% for meh service, but if you're going to charge me 20% without asking or telling me, then you get 0). She then started aggressively asking if there was anything wrong with her service and I said not really. It did bother me that the fact that she was probably the owner who was making all of the money from the restaurant. In hindsight, I should have told her that I would give her a full tip if we didn't have to pay for the things we found horrid. (The nachos, California fries and the chicken burritos.
I felt horrible for taking my friends from out of the country to this place thinking they can try some good mexican food. They swore they would stick to fast food on the way back to avoid...
Read moreService was great, well-humored people running the place when we visited. Very clean dining area and what looks like a good selection of desserts. The menu has plenty of options and there prices and combos seem like they get you a lot of bang for your buck.
Minus one star for the cleanliness (or lack thereof) of the restroom. The walls and floors are dirty, the mirror needs a wipe down, there are broken wall tiles along the one corner, and the sink and toilet are looking a few shades away from the white they should be.
Minus another star for my grande burrito and salsas. Nothing terrible and the tortilla was good, but the the burrito rice and meat tasted plain. Like when someone makes more than one could take their time to prepare and season properly. The salsas are were runny and a little too much emphasis on the spice vs flavor, but of course as with any salsa that might just be my...
