ZERO STARS!!! The small and large dog areas were open to eachother, which would have been okay but most of the owners that frequent here are apparently really irresponsible. None of the pit mix or aggressive dog owners managed their dogs. There was dog poop all over the dog park. The ground of the park was horribly maintained. Broken and uneven cement and bumpy grass, I could not frolic around with my dogs because I could have broken an ankle.
Furthermore, both my kind gentle dogs got attacked while the aggressive dogs' owners did NOTHING! Thank God the skin did not break. Both my dogs were shaking and scared, and the aggressive dogs owners did not even care. According to the nicer frequent dog parkers, there are always those types of jerks here; the only reason the nicer people go their is because it is close to their house. (I asked.) I have never been to a dog park with such jerkish dog owners, not managing and properly socializing their dogs.
Plus the trashy people were standing around, not paying attention to their dogs and smoking; ruining the air for everybody. I will never go there again and I advise anyone who cares about their dogs to...
Read morePros: you see the same people so you get to know their dogs. There are "two sides"..1 is for small dogs and the other is for larger dogs. There are benches where you can hang out at and tables for you to put your stuff while you play with your dog or to eat. And its down the street from my house. There is always a ball hanging around for anyone to play with!
Cons: people open the middle gate so the dogs have access to either side of the park at any time even when they know their dog is aggressive. People feed your dog without asking (my dog has a severe overtime and can't break down hard foods so that matters to me..& I met a dog with a chicken allergy!). Someone's dog came and snatched a burger right out of my hand on the table, super fast. Owner apologize but never offered to like get me new lunch haha. Another dog came and snatched my closed bag off the table.
There aren't any cool agility stuff here. Its a closed area for your dog to...
