Normally I go to other sandwich shops like little Lucca or Ike‘s but I drove by Carroll’s meats and decided to try them out. I wasn’t disappointed. When I first walked in I received a friendly greeting and they directed me to their menu. They have so much to choose from and wanted to order everything but I ordered what they’re known for which was their tri tip sandwich that I saw from their window. I ate it in my car and it was so good! The size is just right and had crisp lettuce and tomatoes along with garlic sauce and cheese. What made it so different and great from other popular spots was the cheese because it was melted and gooey but most of all the tri tip. The combination was so good and I knew this was my new place bite after bite. Skip the long lines at Little Luca and the big ego and downwards quality at Ike’s and go to Carroll’s meats. I’ve had so many problems at Ike’s with incomplete orders upon arrival through their app. And then Little Lucca’s line around the block. I do like these spots up to a certain point but in my opinion Carroll’s Meats is another contender to try out around San Bruno, South San Francisco, Daly City and Peninsula Area. 5 stars and more all the way for Carroll’s Meats. Thanks...
Read moreBased on other reviews, I must have hit this place on the worst possible day. 1) He was repairing some kind of machinery in the back with tools, who knows how clean that was. 2) He worked on something on his tablet, those are rarely clean. 3) Then he moved some meat around in the cooler, it looked raw. 4) After all this he made my sandwich without washing his hands or wearing gloves, cutting the meat with, and into, his unwashed hands. 5) When checking out I noticed he had bleeding cuts and scabs on his fingers that were just making my sandwich... That was the last straw. Of course he just spent 15 minutes making the sandwich with a bunch of meat, so I paid for it. But after I left I just threw it away. I was so grossed out I literally could not eat it and went somewhere else for food. I was super excited to try this place but my experience here was terrible. It was like putting my money straight into a trash can and it kind of...
