Lotus Falafel and Shawerma — Restaurant in San Bruno

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (If I could give 4.7, I would!)

I ordered from Lotus Falafel and Shawarma in San Bruno through Uber Eats, and I was truly impressed! I tried their Arayes — grilled pita bread stuffed with ground lamb, beef, onions, and spices — and it was packed with flavor. I was hoping it wouldn't just be plain meat in a pita, and thankfully, it wasn’t! The seasoning and balance of flavors were excellent.

I also ordered the half chicken a la carte ($12.99), and you can tell this was marinated well in advance. The meat was tender, juicy, and full of deep, rich seasoning — well done and juicy.

The only reason I’d rate it 4.7 stars instead of 5 is because the rice pudding had grains that were a bit too firm, but the jasmine flavor was delicious and fragrant.

All in all, a fantastic meal — I’ll definitely be ordering again. Highly recommended!

I got the chicken Shawarma over rice and a soda for around $20. I stopped by to have lunch as my car was getting serviced down the street. I told the cashier it was my first time. He tried to up sell me and suggested the shawarma with rice and salad for $5 more but I wasn’t that hungry. For the record this was not my first Middle Eastern shawarma, I have eaten this dish thousands of time and choose this because it’s simple and thought they can’t mess it up.
