Dunkin' — Restaurant in San Carlos

I love Dunkin' Donuts ...except this location. When it first opened, I lived a few blocks away and loved it! They had the right staffing, the donuts were always freshly made in the morning and wait times were never too terrible. Now to today, I moved and getting here isn't as easy. But this morning, it was on my route, so I wanted a few donuts for my Friday. I was in there for 12 minutes and left with no donuts. Any other time, I'd feel I was too bought in to leave after that much time. But this time, my thoughts were, if I give this location my money, it makes this wait time ok.

The management here must be horrendously bad. They had 1 person ...yes 1 person... working on a Friday morning. That 1 person was hustling too, I mean, if there's someone who gets to be a store manager, it's that kid. The monitor had 8 flashing orders (probably online orders) and a line of 7. He was multi-tasking getting a little of every order done. Unfortunately, priority does go to online orders, so that's what he was trying to get done first. This kid gets 5 stars, for reals. If I knew my money would only go to him, I would have made my donut order. The store though, gets 0 stars. So averaging it out to 2. After I left, 4 other people followed with no donuts in hand.

Shame on you management. McDonalds next door had cars out to the street and to the corner. There's money to be had and y'all blew it...

What a pleasant surprise! I haven't stepped foot in a Donkin store in ...20 years. No joke. Reason I actually seeked one out now was to try the new vegan Beyond sausage. Well... this store is just 1 yr old and it looks clean and modern. Big Mike and Julian were behind the counter, very friendly and informative. I had a sausage pattie first and.. wow!..so good and tasty!! Couldn't use the egg and cheese add on's since they don't have vegan substitutes but even so.. that pattie was delicious. Wish they had mustard pkg's but the got sauce filled the gap.Actually.. it was so good that I ordered a 2nd one accompanied by a small coffee latte with almond milk (yeah!!).Great bite , although pricey for the dressed down sausage pattie, clean surroundings and a very cool crew. Way to go......

Whoever owns this location is extremely cheap and could care less about their customers and staff. Opening at 6am is sad for a coffee spot, however forcing a solo staff member to open and then deal with the overwhelming number of orders coming in alone, creating insane wait times, all falls on the owner. It shouldn’t take a rocket scientist to profit correctly off donuts, yet here I am telling you that your business is garbage because of how you run it. Sell your franchise to someone who actually cares. This is the ONLY Dunkin in a few mile radius and the owner is still destroying their own business and productivity. Cheap, lazy, gross
