This Popular Milk Tea Spot in San Diego Just Doesn't Cut It for Me

I absolutely love this tea spot. The atmosphere here is full of life and inviting and the customers service here is amazing. Now let’s talk about the matcha — WOWWW!! It’s seriously amazing! Rich, smooth, perfectly balanced
you can tell they use high-quality matcha and take real care in preparing it. It’s easily one of the best I’ve ever had, and I find myself craving it constantly. One of the coolest things about this place is that they switch out their tea flavors every month, which keeps things exciting and fresh. It’s always a treat to come in and see what new seasonal or creative blends they’ve come up with. I love that they’re always experimenting and keeping their menu dynamic. If you’re a tea lover (or even just tea-curious), do yourself a favor and check this place out. You won’t regret it! â˜șïžđŸ§‹đŸ’–đŸ”

Our neighbor said this is his favorite tea house because of the monthly specials. I wouldn’t say it’s our favorite. The menu is basic and customizable. You pick your choice of tea from a list of 11, sweetness level, milk choice, and toppings. We got the October specials. Strawberry Hojicha was more thick and fruity while the hojicha puer had sticky rice purr tea with creamy oat milk, infused with jasmine rice and tea. Tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch! Their tea is strong and kept me up. They also sell their loose tea leaf. Very high quality. If we’re in the area, I would check out what’s on rotation for their monthly specials. Parking in this plaza is not great as it shares the same lot as Daiso and many bars and eateries.

This is my favorite boba spot in San Diego! I try to go to boba places that use authentic ingredients such as real tea and milk (no powdered milk or artificial flavoring). Camellia Rd uses honey to sweeten their boba and cane sugar syrup for their milk teas. Their tea selection is fantastic with great flavor so if you are a tea person this is the place for you. They also have boardgames available in shop so my husband and I love to come here for a quick date and bring our baby. it can get crowded and there are often lots of people studying. Coming in the evening or at an off time is recommended. When it’s not crowded it is a nice open space with room for strollers if you’re a mom out there! Board games too if you have older kids. They have alternative milk options and rotating seasonal flavors. They also dont accept cash. There is a free parking lot outside but again can get crowded and be difficult to find parking but it is a large lot so if you are persistent you’ll find a spot eventually. 10/10 would recommend as a great family spot, place to...

Best boba in San Diego - the quality of the tea and the boba is unbeatable. They have a user-friendly, non-overwhelming menu showing the teas in order of caffeine level, and always have a couple creative monthly specials. Plus, you can purchase loose leaf tea and other fun boba accessories. Love that there is some space to sit and work inside as well. A must-go place for visitors and locals alike!

Only complaint is that we tried for two full months to get a hold of someone to set up a catering order for our wedding (which they say on their website that they offer). We tried webforms, calling, leaving messages with the employees, reaching out on social media, and even emailing the owner, and were never contacted back once :( In terms of this aspect of their business, we are extremely disappointed with the management. I would advise them to remove the option on their website or to give people a simple reply if they aren't taking catering orders at this time. We found the complete lack of communication very...

Truly a unicorn of bubble tea shops. Emphasis is placed on using high quality tea, and the tea flavor shines through like nowhere else I have ever been. If you like loose leaf tea or matcha, this is the spot. If you're looking for more of a dessert drink like the brown sugar milks or taro milkshakes, this is NOT the spot. The boba is usually on the chewy side, if not firm. Ordering your drink hot fixes the boba texture issues, but that's the same at most places.

I've been in SD for 2 weeks on vacation and this just happened to be the first shop I went to. Afterwards, I have been to 3 other places in town but kept coming back here another 5 times. It's just so unique, and it gave me a craving for tea-flavored boba tea that I never had before. My favorites have been Jasmine and Puer, although they've been out of Hojicha and Genmaicha. So sad to be leaving SD, partly because I won't be able to feed my Camellia Rd...
