My brother and I had an enjoyable dining experience at Chili's on a bustling Tuesday evening around 5:40 PM. Despite the unexpected crowd, we were able to seat ourselves immediately in the lively bar area, opting for a booth.
Our attentive waiter quickly approached just as I was logging into the table's digital tablet with my Chili's rewards account. Noticing my available reward for free chips and salsa, he kindly offered to bring it while we browsed the menu, an offer we gladly accepted. Within minutes, our table was served with crunchy chips, salsa, and waters.
For drinks, I chose the Mango Arnold Palmer, a refreshing concoction that I highly recommend for its light yet flavorful blend. For the main course, I opted for the Triple Dipper, selecting the new Nashville hot mozzarella sticks, southwest egg rolls, and boneless Buffalo wings. The Nashville hot mozzarella sticks stood out with just the right level of spice, perfectly complementing the melted cheese when dipped in ranch dressing. The southwest egg rolls were as expected, bursting with flavor. The BBQ-coated boneless Buffalo wings were delightful, even though the sauce coverage wasn't fully covering the pieces.
My brother chose the "3 for Me" combo, accompanied by a strawberry lemonade that he praised for its balanced sweetness. His starter was a salad with blue cheese dressing, though he noted the bowl could have been larger to better mix the dressing. For the main dish, he ordered the Big Smash Burger with fries, saying it was an unbeatable value at just $10.99.
Throughout the meal, the service was impeccable, with our waiter displaying a commendable level of attentiveness. Finalizing our meal was a breeze, thanks to the table-side tablet payment option. Unfortunately, upon reviewing my receipt at home, I noticed an unexpected charge for a "Ziosk game pass," despite not using any gaming features. I plan to contact Chili's for a refund on this discrepancy.
Overall, our experience at Chili's was marked by great food, excellent service, and substantial portions at reasonable prices. The minor billing issue aside, the visit was pleasurable and I recommend this restaurant for its offerings...
Read moreWe were a party of 10... 6 (3 teens, an 8yr old 2 toddlers) kids me my husband Nd my inlaws. My mother in law and father got their food1st no problem, well 10 mins go by before half the kids food starts to show up ( the older 1s) however the mac and cheese for 2 babies took another 10 mins and they r hollering, then they forget about my chicken tenders and my daughters. Then asked my husband what it was he had ordered. While my in laws have completely finished their food the server is asking how everything was FOR 2ND TIME without all the food having been served and if we needed anything so I had to tell him ya Id like my food now everyone is almost done and Ive yet to get served. Now he has has to ask what it is I had not got, all of it!!!!! It was terrible. I started the order when we sat b4 my drink order telling the young man I had a coupon for chips and dip and was decideding what margarita I was going to get while my hubby told him his choice, and he said I will take the drink order 1st and then get appetizers. Which came off sort of rude but then he took us adults table drink order go to the kids table which was across and over 1 table so it was able to be heard but a lil hard but then he began to ask the children what appetizers they wanted, they r kids? Is that appropriate or shud u ask the adult who just told u she had a coupon if she was going to order any other appetizers other than that now these kids are all telling them chips and dip so he was about to put in 3 orders of chips and dip. (THAT R BOTTOMLESS!)So then when he gives the bill, its only for the adults, he put all the kids order on another check as tho they were going to pay themselves. It was a terrible experience, and last of it all, 1 of my kids seen another worker take a french fry off the plate under heater and eat it before the plate was brought out?! Never had such an experience at Chili's. Bizarre. Hope whoever reads this far has a...
Read moreThis is my favorite Chili's in San Diego metro area📍. I am from the San Ysidro so I can only really compare it to the Chula Vista locations, but this one is much more spacious and less packed than the other two. In terms of service, all locations have had very attentive servers and that's never been an issue with this chain so far. What really makes this place so good and has me writing this review is the quality of the food that I consistently receive here.
I ride for my triple dipper 🤷♂️ and across the Chili's locations l've visited before, this one is the only one that consistently gives me fresh and hot boneless wings every time I order them. Now look, I've had cold food at Chili's and it's not like a super dealbreaker cause let's be honest, it's usually part of the gamble when coming to a place like this.
HOWEVER, this place still goes above and beyond serving some really stellar stuff. I mean damn even their soda is really good like good carbonation AND sugar ration; I can just really respect a place that always keeps their food presentable, hot, and fresh especially when it comes at such reasonable prices🙏.
I'm stuck in the UCSD area for couple of years, so I'm sure l'll be back to this location plenty!! 🤣🤣
EYY, but so to anyone looking around for a nice food place for cheap with awesome specials for all the days of the week, let this be your sign to pull up to Clairmont Chill's. Most fore surely, DAYGOEATS...
