Denny's — Restaurant in San Diego

As most I look through reviews to see what others have experience hoping these viaits are a 1 off. Well the reviews domt seem to be inline with my 2 visits in the last month. I have grown up with Dennys so I can say I have been a lifelong fan since kids spaghetti had american cheese on it. Very very impersonal both times between 4 and 5 I waa greeted at the fromt to please sit anywhere amd only after sitting had to wait what felt like an eternity to get our menus. With this impersonal greeting the server is no longer able to identify key pieces not enough servings at table for the party being seated. 1st time we finally asked and 2nd time we waited to see if this would be noticed.. Nope grab one from a neighboring Empty table. The potential for this dennys revenue could be soon much more. (If you are the gm pull and watch ur video surveliience of your employees) Both encounters the SAME server did not notice our waning drinks now for the price of a 6 pack youd think this would be a given. nope. Server was very quick to walk away though my order had not been finished The entire visit both this and the last she was to busy chatting with other staff showing pictures and things on her phone. Too busy to notice the paying customers. Kudos to the cook my burger was so delicious I felt like the woman on those cheesy Carl's commercials but I needed a napkin. So I tried to turn around to get eye contact from the servers behind the glass I got another server who said something and ours glanced when I aaked for extra napkins ahe said yes and rather than walking to the table ahe shoves the napkina between the glass opening separating the server area and my table. Mind you the angle being all the more awkward as I had to turn around to reach. I have now spent $100 in 2 visits and this is such a sad experience for mybeloved favorite restaurant. This place totally sucked. Food was cold. Service was slow. I never got my silverware set. I had to get it off another table. The waiter was very forgetful. Granted he was a bit old. I had watched a worker mix the Gravy for the biscuits and gravy and a big bucket with cold water a whisk, and some gravy mix. And to boot, I had just received my bill for the food. And mind you I was still eating And I had gotten up to use the restroom. The waiter who was waiting on my table, He and I saw each other as I was walking to the restroom. When I get back, my table was cleaned up. My bill for the food was gone, and I’m standing there, puzzled and confused and Annoyed. I go to ask the waiter where is my food? He said I don’t know someone clean up your table. I asked him why did it go? I was not done eating. He said I don’t know. I forgot you were here. At this point, I’m really annoyed and I just wanna leave. I ask him if I could pay for my food. And he said yes, and he still remembered what I ordered but he said I forgot you were here. Don’t ever come here this place...

I saw the reviews and didn’t think much of them because they were from months ago, tell me why when we went there it took them 5 min to recognize us and another customer had to let them know we were standing there how embarrassing. When we got sat down the lady we got was really nice and fast but afterward, she took her break and we were assigned another lady, that one never once asked if we needed napkins or if we wanted more drinks just basically ignored seating all the way in the back when in the middle of the restaurants there was clearly tables for a big group, honestly such bad service, also to top it off the lady who ignored us and sat us she throw the menus at the table and left without saying a word. How embarrassing to work here and treat customers like that. How nice to feel that all Americans were sat front of the restaurant and us Latinos sat way back being ignored, what a...
