We ordered a cake for our wedding and my coordinator had already been in contact with them regarding where to deliver, time to deliver, if there was a stand, etc. I made both payments within the allotted time frame but was shocked when the day of my wedding the cake did not show up and no one would answer my coordinatorās emails or phone calls. Luckily, my coordinator was amazing and ran to Whole Foods to get us a couple of cakes so we would have something to serve. I canāt imagine how this wouldāve gone if someone didnāt have a coordinator. I cannot believe that this place failed to deliver my wedding cake. It is a huge bummer for us because we love their Black Forest cake which is why we chose them. Needless to say, we will never come back here again and will be telling everyone to stay away from here. It is completely unprofessional to run a bakery and not follow through on a wedding cake order.
Edit: When I called the next day and asked to speak to a manager the guy who answered claimed he was the chef but he could help me with whatever I need. I told him that my cake never got delivered and he went on a tangent about how they are closed on Sundays and it is impossible for me to have ordered a cake from them and I must be calling the wrong bakery because they would never agree to deliver a cake on Sundays. I had copies of emails sent to my coordinator confirming a delivery time on our wedding date. They should not let someone who doesnāt know what is going on in the bakery to claim he can help with issues and then try and gaslight the customer. They called me back and explained that the girl who took my final payment āmisplacedā my order form so they never even made my cake. To any future brides/grooms looking for a cake. At 10am Sunday, the next morning, less than 24 hours later I called to cancel the order due to the party being canceled and the cupcake I purchased made me sick; it was disgusting to say the least. I was treated so poorly and unprofessionally, they should be ashamed. These people are thief's and would not credit my charge that had not even gone through. I was then told that they have a no refund policy and will keep the deposit upon cancellation as shown on a red stamp that they use on the receipt. Only problem is that they did not stamp my receipt per "protocol", failed to mention this policy, and charged the full amount instead of the deposit amount. Monday morning I called to speak with the owner who was a pompous, inconsiderate man who told me he was keeping my money and by me calling and wasting his time I had cost him at least $40 for the few minutes on the phone. Please do not do business with these people. The cake is not good and they will do what it takes to rip off customers. I work very hard for my money and the owner thinks it is acceptable to take my money, when there was zero service provided. I would understand if I had canceled last minute, if they had done any work whatsoever, but this is just wrong. I hope the owner can sleep at night, taking money from a mother with a family....
