I've been a customer of this specific Starbucks for about 10 years now. I was extremely disappointed with my experience this morning in the drive thru. There was a customer before me in the drive thru that for some reason beyond me, ordered 8 venti frap drinks. Now whoever makes an order like this at 8am in the morning, in a packed drive thru, is just inconsiderate. Instead of asking the guy to park and wait for his beverages, or come inside because the order was more than a drive thru should take, they let everyone in the drive thru wait for his order to be completed. This is beyond me when places like McDonald's, In and Out, Wendy's etc. all have customers pull over to the side, or park so they can bring their order to them since it will take longer than usual.
The worst part of it all was I was already very upset at the situation, and saw the cashier just laughing and chatting with the guy. As if no one in the line had been waiting forever for the order to get completed. I even commented out loud how the people behind him had been waiting for a long time! The barista that was making the drinks said to me (as if it was my fault for even saying that), "Well he ordered 8 drinks." Like I'm just suppose to accept that! When no order in a Starbucks drive thru should ever take that long! Especially since it was in the morning! They didn't even think at that 8am, the people in the drive thru don't have time to wait for someone's large order to be completed! No customer consideration at all. No apology either. The barista that rudely said that should be reprimanded, or at least taught customer sensitivity. The cashier was just helpless. Didn't even apologize and just floundered when I called them out. Even told me to have a good day, which I thought was nice, but I would have rather had them think about the other customers in the drive thru line. 8 drinks! 8 VENTI frap drinks! From order to finish it took 12+ minutes! This wouldn't have matter so much if it wasn't in the morning, also the fact that the barista was so rude. Totally ruined my view about this specific location.
This specific Starbucks had just underwent a renovation. I was assuming this would improve their customer service, and make things run smoother there. Unfortunately this Starbucks is a lot slower now, and the people that are employed there do not care as much about the customers as the teams in the past. They are much slower, and it is obvious they are complacent in their customer service.
You know if they had just acknowledge the fact that they had screwed up, or had taken longer than usual I probably would have blown this off. But that barista really made the situation worse. I truly hope someone talks to her. Her rudeness and attitude will most definitely lose this...
Read moreI’ve been going to this facility for over two years now and not once never had I had a problem with anybody or have my food/drinks made incorrectly, but today very rude. I had a massive order that was over $50 and one of the drinks was made wrong and it’s rare for them to mess up a drink. Once I realize the drink wasn’t correct I tried to get a hold of Max who always makes my drink to let him know this is made wrong The assistant store manager had picked up the phone and I asked her if I can speak to Max. She said I can’t aloud that. And I told what happen. She then goes to tell me to bring it in and she’ll need to verify my receipt. Which is fine that’s cool. But once I get there, she’s at the window said I need to not cuss in the intercom. I didn’t cuss. And for her to say I did, is very disrespectful. Yet she was Telling me to respect everyone when I wasn’t even cussing . I would never go back to this facility ever again and the assistant store manager, the little redhead, she needs to not let the tile of her job get to her head! The only best employee that works there is max! He’s the real vip! It’s sad, cause I would go in there everyday with no problem. Always say good morning to everyone. I have had my latte come to me hot when I requested iced and the sticker said iced on it, I got a java chip frappicino with now chips in it, they have always put whip with my order even when I requested no whip. This last visit I had a order of 7 drinks and I ordered a venti vanilla bean split in two cups as it is for my kids. I have done it many times at other locations with out issues and I worked at Starbucks for 7 years the barista said it was "against policy" and refused to do it. Part of the reason I am ok paying so much for my drinks is that they provide excellent customer service. I cancelled my order and went to another location. I suggest going to any of the other locations in this area I went to the one in Scripps Ranch and they had no problem splitting my drink order.
