THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!
First, this review is not for the food but the terrible customer service. Today when my husband and I walked in, we were asked where our masks were, which I then apologized because I didn’t think it would have been a problem since the state reopened today. However, I had my mask on hand in my pocket, and my husband immediately when to his car to get a mask. Then I see one of the cooks come out of the back with no mask on like he could prepare food without a mask, but I can’t order without one; it makes no sense.
My husband then asked about the three TJ tacos they had on the menu and the type of meat. The cashier then gives my husband an attitude and points at the menu and says, “ They are right there,” which made us a little on edge because who responds to a customer that way when having a question.
It’s sad because I was looking at places that had Quesabirria taco’s and this place came up, and I was willing to give it a try. We live in Spring Valley and drove 20 mins to this place, making the whole commute 40 mins. When I came home, I settled down and decided to eat my food an hour later. When I had a bite out of my enchiladas, they were all cheese with no meat like I paid for. I called the restaurant, and the cashier answered, and I told her what happened. She didn’t even apologize and told me that the food was ordered 3 hrs ago and I needed to bring it back if I wanted them to remake it. I told her that I lived in Spring Valley and wouldn’t be calling if my order was correct. She didn’t even care told me again that she could remake it if I brought it back. I was upset, and yes, I got in my car and made the commute all over again. What makes matters worse is that she looked at me when I arrived without an apology and had the kitchen remake my food.
This cashier is the worst I had to deal with in a while. She’s rude and doesn’t hustle like she should because this place does get busy, especially the drive-through. However, she’s too busy giving people an attitude when she needs to focus on getting people in and out of the drive-thru. Good food, but I think I will save $50 on better service elsewhere; unbelievable to make a customer who just spent $50 come back to show you the mistake. They probably threw the food away, and that’s fine because it was a waste of their food. Get a new cashier, and maybe we will return but not until customer service...
Read moreRead good review of this place in La Mesa Happenings. Placed phone order. Lady on phone put me "on hold" and argued with someone in the background. Ordered carne asada tacos and plain bean burrito (no cheese). Was told to wait 15 minutes to pick up. Got there, waited in car to give them extra time. Then waitrd in drive through lane for about 10 more minutes. Car in front never moved, so decided to park car and walk in to pick up food. Same lady from the phone said she canceled the order because we got off the line, which made no sense since we had ordered over the phone more than 30min before and took less than a minute to park the car and go inside..lady was annoyed for some reason all this time. Lady asked to repeat order, gave lady the order again and, with a pretty bad attitude, told me I had ordered a cheese burrito not a plain burrito, I told her I ordered a plain burrito (no cheese), lady said "no you didn't "... lady yhen looks at order slip and realizes she was wrong. No apology was given, but none was expected. Cook starts to prepare food..Waited for another 15 minutes. Got food, got home, inspected burrito...and guess what...yes got a cheese and bean burrito! This place needs better service. By the way the lady kept lowering her covid mask all the time. Never going back...
Read moreMe and my boyfriend stumbled upon this place while driving. He was hungry and was like lets try that place. Im a taco shop connoisseur, so I was like, NO, im not gonna go to a random tacoshop. He was like all good taco shops start with a P, its good trust. ( I dont know where his logic comes from). So maybe 3 days later. He's like I want Birria tacos. So we were headed to Birria Kings, then he was like lets try that taco shop we saw. Im side eyeing him, and was like i dont remember the name. He was like google maps it. So i did and found the name. We searched the instagram and it looked BOMB. So we went on my lunch we got the surf and turf burrito and 2 birria tacos. When i say it was SOOOOO good. I was mad we didn't go the first time we saw it. We ended up going the next day just for tacos and the Nachos it was just as good. My boyfriend went a third time 2 days later and got the hot cheeto fries....he liked it. He said he is probably better if you eat it there versus traveling to take it home, cause we live like 15min away. All in all though this is our new go to Taco Shop. I can't wait to try more items on the menu. I have already bragged about this place to my friends wnd And they have the 5 Star app so you get rewards for dining there which I love. Try them you wont be...
