Pros: Customer service was good. There was a young lady taking our orders.
Garlic breadstick delicious
Kiwi Pineapple Lemonade pretty tasty
Fried Fish and shrimp delicious.
Cons: Truffle Chicken Sandwich - My daughter hates fish and bit into her chicken sandwich and fries and the whole thing tasted like fish. Believe they cooked the chicken in the fish grease (dangerous practice) if this is the case they should have a note warning customers. On the positive side it looked delicious! Unfortunately a waste of money as she took her meal with her to work before she was able to taste it so she had to throw the whole meal away.
Arrived at 1045, they opened at 11 and I was second in line and my order took an hour. I understand they take phone calls for orders however they should Ensure that their customers that were there as soon as they opened, should not have to wait an hour. several people arrived to pick up their orders well before 11:30. This means they called in their orders at 11 but like I said, I was there before 11 to have my order taken. I wonder if they started accepting calls earlier than 11.
The banana pudding was just OK.
Would I return? I’m not sure, but I encourage others to go and try it for themselves. Just ensure you call your order in before going so that you’re...
Read moreman oh man. this place has some real soul to it. as someone from the south it definitely reminded me of home. i had the chicken wings, greens & mac n cheese and everything was FIRE. a few critiques though..
Food: maybe add a little more meat to the greens and a tad bit more salt to the mac. as far as the chicken & cornbread though? don’t change a thing about it! 39/10. ( also props to yall for adding hot sauce to the bag )
Atmosphere: with it being a takeout only (at least when i went) i’d suggest maybe putting some tables & chairs since there’s none outside. it’s a nice view of the area so people might want to sit down and eat or just sit down while they wait on their food. maybe play some soft music too!
Price: okay so i got a niceeee handful of wings, probably close to 10, & the 2 sides which totaled up to around $29.03. while i do think that’s a bit pricey for one person, the portions and QUALITY of food makes up for it. so take that for what it’s worth.
also.. i did i order the blue lavender lemonade but i forgot to get it and didn’t realize till i got home 🥲. nonetheless, i will be back in the future and to my melanated brothas and sistas, if you needed a sign to try this place, take my...
Read moreThe food is Delicious and the owner is really a wonderfully pleasant human! There are 2 things keeping me from giving 5 stars (and I really am going back and forth on the last star just because the owner was so nice). But, first they don't serve plain old tap water like the vast majority of restaurants, fast food joints; almost anywhere you go you can ask for a cup of water but not here. Also the cashier did not seem fit for a customer service job (this is my personal opinion as someone who has worked in customer service for many years, everyone else seemed generally happy and filled with love and good vibes but she seemed a little sour. Idk if she was having a bad day or just isn't really a ray of sunshine, either way, it rubbed me wrong). Overall the look and feel of the place is so cool. A hole in the wall, small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The prices are a little steep but that was expected. The food was full of so much flavor though that it was definitely worth the price....
